FACILITIES

CAMPUS LOCATION

GIBM is situated in Pune, the educational capital of India, also popularly known as the 'Oxford of the East'. Pune is an upcoming city with close and convenient proximity to Mumbai thus facilitating ample industry interaction. It has an excellent cosmopolitan mix catering to the largest student concentration in India with students coming from every part of the country and abroad. According to a recent estimate, Pune had over 7,00,000 students with nearly 25,000 being foreign students. The campus is located in Fursungi, around 10 km away both from the Interstate Bus Terminal at Swargate and Pune Railway Station and around 15 kms from the Pune Airport. It is next to 'Infocity', one of the largest IT parks in Pune.

The campus provides all the facilities required for effective delivery of the curriculum. A brief glimpse of the facilities is given below:

CAMPUS FACILITIES

Classrooms : All the classrooms are designed to provide adequate light and ventilation, comfortable seating and audio-visual aids facilitating the process of learning.

Library : The library is a virtual storehouse of knowledge. Going far beyond the collection of textbooks prescribed for various subjects, it carries a mix of the best books in every stream. Ranging from business newspapers & magazines, premium business journals such as Harvard Business Review, California Management Review to some of the best books in management and marketing, the library gives the students access to the best written word on business and keeps them abreast of the latest concepts & developments in the world of business. To facilitate maximum access of the library, the timings are from 10 in the morning till 10 in the night.

Computer Lab : In this age of modern technology, knowledge of computers has become an integral part of our lives. The computer lab has 60 computers of the latest configuration providing all the software and high speed internet access facilitating the project & assignment work given to the students.

Wi-Fi Networking :Wi-Fi zones have been created in various parts of the campus to facilitate the students desirous of browsing the internet on their respective laptops. This facility allows the students to work freely amongst their groups and always be only a click away from the world of information!

Multi-Purpose Hall : A multi- purpose hall provides for an excellent space for holding workshops, symposia and guest lectures. In the leisure time it also becomes a favoured venue for students to organise and participate in extra-curricular activities such as theatre, debating, singing, painting etc.

HOSTEL FACILITIES

As the program is a residential one, the institute provides Hostel facilities for male and female candidates. Accommodation is compulsory for female candidates and voluntary for male candidates. Each room is spacious, well lit, adequately ventilated and comes with an attached toilet & bathroom and is offered on a double/triple sharing basis. Each student is provided with a study-table and chair, a cupboard, a book-shelf and a bed. Arrangement is also made for regular cleaning and laundry needs of the occupants.
Male candidates opting for accommodation out of the hostel need to stay within 1 km radius of the institute as this is a residential program.

MESS FACILITIES

The Institute also has an in-house messing facility, with a full- fledged kitchen and a spacious, well ventilated and well-lit dining hall that can seat 100 students at one time. The mess serves delicious and nutritious meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) as well as snacks to the students at a subsidized cost. The Mess Committee regularly supervises and checks the quality of preparations and ensures that every meal is balanced in terms of nutrition and is served in the most hygienic way. The Mess remains open for long hours to cater to students before and after their regular meal timings.

RECREATIONAL FACILITIES

At GIBM we believe in encouraging students to cultivate their hobbies as it aids their overall development. After long hours in the classroom or the computer lab or the library, students can unwind & re-energise with the help of the following facilities :

Gymnasium :Since a healthy mind resides in a healthy body, the GIBM Gymnasium-cum-Yoga Center provides the most serene and stimulating environment to students to workout and keep their mind and body in shape. Separate hours are allocated to boys and girls for workouts in the gymnasium. 

Volleyball : With a state-of-the-art Volleyball Court, the students not only maintain their physical fitness and strength, but also improve their agility, hand-eye coordination and reflexes. Being a team-game, it also teaches them the importance of team-work and helps them bond with each other.

Table Tennis : While the early hours of the evenings are spent in the gymnasium and volleyball court, a game or two of table tennis keep the students occupied in the later hours. A quick game that refreshes both the body and the mind, it helps students take a break from their study schedule.

Badminton : Located in the midst of the campus, the badminton court has a flood-light facility making it possible to play even in the late hours of the evenings.

MEDICAL FACILITIES

Away from home, the paramount concern for any student and his / her parents is that of health and fitness. We provide an on-the campus, First Aid Centre, well- equipped with primary medication facilities. In case, however, the sickness is such as may need specialised attention of the Doctors, the Institute has a tie-up with Noble Hospital (one of the prominent private hospitals in Pune) where the students of GIBM are given preferential care and treatment.

Every student joining GIBM is also offered a unique and novel Medical Insurance Scheme option for which he /she pays a nominal / concessional premium and gets a medical cover for hospitalization up to Rs. 50,000/- in case of non accidental emergencies (as per the Mediclaim Insurance Policy) & Rs. 1,00,000/- in case of Rail/Road traffic accidents.
