National Scholarship Scheme:

In order that no really brilliant student is prevented on the ground of poverty alone from pursuing an academic carrier, Government of India have formulated a national scholarship scheme, which will be awarded on the basis of the school Leaving Examination, Pre-degree Examination or the first Degree examinations. The award will be limited to scholars ,the income of whose parents does not exceed Rs.25,000 /- per year.

Merit scholarship for the children of primary and secondary school teachers:

This scholarship is available to the children of primary and secondary teachers. This scholarship is awarded on the basis of the matriculation or equivalent examination and the pre-degree examination.

District Merit Scholarship (DMS)-on the basis of S.S.L.C marks, Rs.2000/- per year. University Merit Scholarships (UMS)-on the basis of PDC marks, Rs.900/-year. THSLC Merit Scholarships-for Rank holders of THSLC Exams.Rs.2000/ per year, are also available.

Government of India Post Metric Scholarships: 

This is a Government of India Scholarship available on the basis of economic criterion of students.

Government of Kerala National Loan Scholarship Scheme, Kerala State: This is available on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examinations.

Interest free repayable loan scholarship by Government of Kerala: The Government of Kerala gives this Scholarship to students of engineering institutions on merit-cum-means basis.

Financial Assistance to the students belonging to fisherman community for hire education: Under this scheme financial assistance can be obtained by students belonging to the fisherman community for their studies in this college.

Assistance from poor students aid fund:

This scheme is instituted to give financial assistance to the poor and deserving students of the college for the payment of fees, hostel dues, purchase of books, Instruments, etc.

Scholarship for orthopaedically Handicapped:

This is awarded by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, direct to the students who are orthopaedically handicapped. Hostel accommodation is free for physically handicapped students.

Education concession to the students belonging to backward community from Harijan welfare department.

a) Scheduled castes and Scheduled Tribes: Tribe communities: Full fee concession, lump sum grant for purchase of books and dresses, pocket money @Rs.45-p.m.and monthly stipend or boarding and lodging charges.

b)converts to Christianity from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, and other eligible communities: Full fee concession , monthly stipend @Rs. 180/- and half the lump sum grant sanctioned to Scheduled Cast student for purchase of books and dresses. A actual boarding and lodging charges will be paid to the students if they are residing in the hostels attached to the professional colleges.

All students whose annual income is below Rs. 42000/-are eligible for fee concession under KPC Scholarship.

The following cash awards are available to the students of this college.

(1) A cash award of Rs. 500 is given every year to the best outgoing student in civil engineering. The award was instituted by Sri P.V.Kesavanin memory of his late son P.V.Mohan,a former student of this college.

(2) Prof.K.C.Venugopalaward is a cash award given to the best outgoing student in Electrical Engineering. The amount of award is the interest accrued on the endowment of Rs.10000.

(3) PTA has contributed two cash awards of Rs.500 each to the best outgoing student in Mechanical and Electronics Engineering every year.

Fees & Scholarships : I have got the fee waiver scholarship, I pay only 1000 Rs.per year. Only 3 students were permitted to get the scholarship in a department in Government College of Engineering.

Fees & Scholarships : Semester fees are around Rs.6200. All central and state level scholarship are provided for students. Loans can be easily obtained from banks but usually, it's not necessary since fees are very less.
