Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College is one of the well known and prestigious institutions of Northern India. It was established in 1956 under Nankana Sahib Education Trust [NSET]. GNDEC offers hostels for both boys and girls. It provides many opportunities for placements. GNDEC has signed numerous MOUs with International Universities.
GNDEC is constantly ranked within the Top 50 Engineering Colleges of India, including NIITs and NIITs. The Institute offers courses under seven engineering branches at the undergraduate level and 15 postgraduate level courses, including MBA and MCA. The Institute offers PhD in all the engineering branches.

Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College has established an Educational Satellite [EDUSAT] Centre collaborating with AICTE. The College has an Auditorium with a seating capacity of 800 people and is equipped with a projector, sound system, cinema screen and many more. The College has 4 Seminar Halls with a seating capacity of 120 students each. The Open Air Theatre of the College has a seating capacity of 5,000. The College has a post office and bank inside the campus. It also has a Computer Centre and Radio Station.

GNDEC Admission

GNDEC admission admission can be done both via offline and online modes. Students are required to appear in the written exam and personal interview for selection. An online/ offline mode of the interview can be selected by the candidate during the time of examination.

GNDEC Eligibility Criteria

GNDEC B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

A Candidate should have 10+2 from a recognized board of education with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science as one of the subjects to be eligible for this course.

GNDEC M.Tech Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have the degree of B.Tech with a minimum aggregate of 50% [45% for reserved category] to be eligible for this course.

GNDEC MBA Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have passed Graduation with at least 3 years duration in any discipline and should have a valid score card of CMAT to be eligible for this course.

GNDEC MCA Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have passed BCA from a recognized university to be eligible for this course.

GNDEC Campus Details

The campus of GNDEC is spread over an area of 87 acres. It is about 5 km away from the bus stand and 8 km away from the Ludhiana Railway Station. The campus facilities include hostels, canteen, sports and gymnasium hall, swimming pool, bank, Gurdwara Sahib, dispensary, post office, alumni home, an open-air theatre. The entire campus is under the surveillance of CCTV cameras, and a backup power supply facility is also available.

GNDEC Placements

Training & Placement Cell provides a platform to gain valuable experience by working in the industry; it acts as the interface between various companies and young graduates & postgraduates in various disciplines. Several top companies visit GNDEC for placements. The training and placement cell arranges six weeks for the students at the end of the 4th semester and six months in the 7th and 8th semester. The placement cell has facilities like a testing hall, conference room, consultancy hall, computer labs and many more.

GNDEC Scholarships

GNDEC offers scholarships to deserving students. The scholarships are offered based on some criteria that the students must fulfill to get the required scholarship. GATE scholarships are granted to the students who are admitted to the M.Tech program in Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College as per the availability from AICTE/ MHRD. Scholarships include Bibi Shivdev Kaur Grewal S/ship, Mrs. & Mr. Harkishan Singh, S. S. Kahlon Memorial Fund, GENCO Scholarships, S. Avtar S. Grewal Memorial S/ship, S.
