Training and Placement cell is the most important part of Haryana Institute of Technology because it is continuously making efforts to shape the abilities of the students through industrial training and career through placement activities round the year. Further, when we talk about B. Tech. programme our first batch's students are going through 8 th Semester and 34% of B. Tech. students have been placed and many more in the pipeline. We hope that in coming more than 2 months many more students will be placed. The Training and Placement Cell organizes campus placements, personality development programmes, mock interviews and competitive examinations, industrial training for students, assistance for higher studies in India and abroad, and other career development schemes. The cell keeps on inviting various industries and reputed firms for campus recruitment. The cell is sensitized to function all through the year towards generating placement and training opportunities for the students. Objectives The principal objective of the Cell is to enhance the professionalism and employability of the students of the college so as to facilitate the achievement of their career goals. This entails the following:-

• To work as the interface between institution-industry.
• To train and develop the students for working in the Industrial culture.
• To render the students to participate in value-added programmes.
• To counsel the students to choose and adopt their career in life.
• To update the information regarding developmental activities in the various industrial sectors.
• Institute is member of esteemed Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) which helps our students and TPO to interact with the latest corporate world. They regularly conduct seminars and workshops to update us for current events .
• The placement cell coordinates quite well with the corporate sector and provides well-developed infrastructure to facilitate the campus selection programmes.
• The cell maintains a very cordial relationship with all the recruiting industries and also prepares the recruited candidates to face the competitive world.
• Last but not the least, we give our students a readymade runway to launch themselves in this corporate world and the sky is limit for them.

• Trains and develops the students for working in the industrial culture.
• Counsels the students to choose and adopt their career in life.
• Organizes campus placements, personality development programmes, mock interviews and competitive examinations, industrial training for students, assistance for higher studies in India and abroad, and other career development schemes.
• Invites various industries and reputed firms for campus recruitment.
• Provides industrial training or institutional project work to the students of final year and pre-final year for a duration of 2 months in a reputed organization or concerned institute.
• Imparts skills like resume making, business communication, public speaking, negotiation skills, innovation, corporate etiquettes, job skills, interview skills .
• In 2012, 35% students got placed 8th semester itself.

 Training:-

The students of final year(8th Sem) and pre-final year are required to undergo Industrial Training or Institutional Project Work of duration 2 months(6months for 8th Sem) in a reputed organization or concerned institute. The students who wish to undergo industrial training, the industry chosen for undergoing the training should be at least a private limited company. The students shall submit and present the mid-term progress report at the Institute. The presentation will be attended by a committee. Alternately, the teacher may visit the Industry to get the feedback of the students.

The final viva-voce of the Industrial Training or Institutional Project Work will be conducted by an external examiner and one internal examiner appointed by the Institute. External examiner will be from the panel of examiners submitted by the concerned institute approved by the Board of Studies in Engg. & Technology. Assessment of Industrial Training or Institutional Project Work will be based on seminar, viva-voce, report and certificate of Industrial Training or Institutional Project Work obtained by the student from the industry or Institute.
