• The CLAT 2025 counselling registration has been closed, and the last date was December 20, 2024. The candidates whose names are on the CLAT Invite List can participate in the counselling process. The first merit list will be published on December 26, 2024. The admissions in NLUs and other colleges will be finalized after five rounds of online counselling at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

The first merit list is expected to be released on December 26, 2024. The process includes seat allotment in multiple rounds, and the final result is expected by May 28, 2025.

Established in 2003, Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU) has rapidly become a leading institution in legal education in India, known for its academic excellence and strong impact on the legal community. Named after Justice Mohammed Hidayatullah, the university was founded by the Government of Chhattisgarh under the HNLU Act, 2003.

As the sixth National Law School in India, HNLU is recognized by the UGC under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956, and by the Bar Council of India under the Advocates Act, 1961.

Eligibility 

B.A. LL.B. (Hons.)

• Eligibility: Class 12 with at least 45% aggregate in any stream.
• Selection Criteria: CLAT.

LL.M.

• Eligibility: LL.B. or equivalent degree with a 55% aggregate (Minimum). 
• Selection Criteria: CLAT.

Ph.D.

• Eligibility: Master’s degree with 55% aggregate minimum. 
• Selection Criteria:
• Research Aptitude Test.

HNLU Scholarship

Re-Activation of National Scholarship Portal (NSP 2.0)

• Purpose: To invite applications (fresh and renewal) under the National Scholarship for Higher Education for ST/SC students for the financial year 2021-22.
• Eligibility Criteria:
• ST Students:
• Total family income from all sources must not exceed ₹6 lakh per annum (original scheme).
• Revised eligibility increases the limit to ₹8 lakh per annum.
