Education Loans: Education Loans are intended to provide much-needed financial assistance to deserving students pursuing higher professional or technical education in India and abroad. The education loan would be given to students who have been accepted into career-oriented courses, such as medicine, engineering, or management, at the graduate or post-graduate level.
Quantum Of Loan: The amount of finance available under the scheme is capped at Rs 10 lacs for studies in India and Rs 20 lacs for studies abroad and would cover tuition fees, hostel fees (if applicable), book costs, and more. The minimum education loan amount would be Rs 50,000.
Timeline: IEC University will examine and approve the case within two days of receiving the application.
Role of the Guardian: The student's parent(s) or guardian would be considered a co-applicant for the student loan. Their role would have to be similar to that of the primary debtor.
Security: If parents do not pay their taxes, a third-party guarantee and/or collateral security may be required.
Disbursement: The loan would be paid directly to the university with no notification to the student.
