Prime Minister's Research Fellows (PMRF)

• The Prime Minister's Research Fellows (PMRF) Scheme is created to improve research quality in the country's numerous higher educational institutions.
• The scheme aims to recruit the brightest talent into research through attractive fellowships, thereby implementing the objective of development through innovation. The program was announced in the 2018-19 Budget.
• All the IITs, IISERs, the Indian Institute of Science in Bengaluru, and several of the top Central Universities/NITs that provide science and/or technology degrees are eligible for the Indian Institute of Technology Goa scholarship.
• IIT Goa candidates shall be chosen after a thorough screening process, and their performance will be evaluated appropriately in a national convention.
