• Registration for CEED 2025 is currently ongoing for admission to the M.Des program. Candidates can apply with a late fee by November 18, 2024, at the latest.
• Registrations for JEE Main 2025 Session-1 will continue until November 22, 2024. Candidates who wish to enroll for the B.Tech courses at IIT Jodhpur must apply.
• JEE Main 2025 Session-1 examinations will be held between January 22 and January 31, 2025.
• The new eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced 2025 have been released on the official website. The aspirants can now give a maximum of three attempts for the JEE Advanced 2025 entrance test for any three consecutive years.

IIT Jodhpur was set up in 2008 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The institute got its stature as an autonomous institute of national importance in 2011 after the Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act 2012.

Admissions to B.Tech are based on JEE (Advanced) score and JoSAA counselling, whereas admissions to M.Tech courses are based on the GATE cutoff scores. IIT Jodhpur also offers an MBA, and admissions are based on CAT scores.

The IIT Jodhpur campus covers an area of 852 acres. In 2024, NIRF ranked IIT Jodhpur 28th in the engineering category. The institute offers 61 courses through 12 UG, PG, and doctoral departments.

IIT Jodhpur provides both summer internships and placements. According to the IIT Jodhpur B.Tech Placement Report 2024, 380+ job offers were created. The institute was also able to place around 92% of the students enrolled.

IIT Jodhpur Admission

IIT Jodhpur admission 2024 has started. Once the candidate clears eligibility tests like JEE/ JAM/ GATE, the process is carried out online. The candidate also must pay the required fees to apply online. An interview is mandatory for the admission of postgraduate and doctorate students. 

IIT Jodhpur Eligibility Criteria

IIT Jodhpur has set different eligibility criteria for admission to various UG, PG & doctorate courses. Eligibility criteria for some of the courses are given below.

 B.Tech. Eligibility Criteria

• Admissions are made on a merit basis. Marks of JEE Main and 10+2 are considered for the same.
• A joint Admission Test (JAM) is considered for admission into the M.Sc programme.

M.Tech. Eligibility Criteria 

• Candidates must have a B.Tech degree with 60% aggregate marks.
• Having a minimum qualification in the GATE exam is necessary.

MBA Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum of 60% marks or 6.00 CGPA on a 10-point scale or equivalent in the qualifying degree. 
• Bachelor degree holders in any branch of engineering, Computers Applications, Economics, Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics or similar are eligible for MBA.
