Indira Gandhi Engineering College Sagar is 4th among the 5 government autonomous engineering colleges of Madhya Pradesh. This college was established by the government of Madhya Pradesh in November 1981 keeping the industrial development of the Bundelkhand region in view and named it Government Engineering College Sagar and the name has been modified as Indira Gandhi Engineering College Sagar later on. In 1981 the institute was started at its old site in the vicinity of Dr. Hari Singh Gour University Sagar. Initially, the college was affiliated with Sagar University and in the year 2000, it has been affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal, M. P. The college is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (A I C T E), and all the courses are approved by AICTE as per mandate.

Placements & Internships : In my college, there are TCS Ubuntu, and Infosys participate in placement.
Fees & Scholarships : Fess- 27000 per year for B tech course. They also provide the scholarship.

Placements & Internships : The college provides internship facilities in the college as well as they also send the students in other universities for internship and they also provide the fund for it. Last year micro sun company arrived in our college and hired the students from information and technology. There are some students who got placed at the package of INR 3 lakhs per annum.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : I am 3rd-year student at Indira Gandhi Engineering College, Sagar. The students who have passed 12th examinations from physics, chemistry and mathematics are eligible to give the entrance exam for admission in this college. Joint Entrance Exam (JEE MAIN) is the entrance exam for admission. The students who give this entrance exam are eligible for counselling and according to the rank in the exam, colleges are allotted. There are five branches in my college for b.tech, electrical, mechanical, civil, information technology and electronics & communications engineering. There are guest faculty in my college who are not much experienced but moderate. After allotment of the college, the student has to come to college before the date that was given in allotment letter and complete the admission process.
Fees & Scholarships : Course fees for every branch is very less. The tuition fee for my course is INR 24000 per year. The students whose families income is less than 7 lakhs, get a scholarship. There are many types of scholarships like post matrix, vikramaditya, gav ki beti, and many more. Almost every student gets a scholarship. I am not sure about the loan facilities.
Academics & Faculty : College timing is from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm. Students write their assignments and especially the EC students have to write many assignments. Students of the 3rd year have to make their projects. Exams are conducted semester wise and held on the month of December and May. There are some guest faculties but many more well qualified NIT teachers. Mechanical faculties are too good and others are also good. The overall experience is not much better but there are many opportunities to hold and gets achievements.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are two government hostels, one for boys and one for girls. INR 500 rupees per month for hostel and 1500 rupees for the mess. There are so many private hostels too. Raghu hostel is famous among private hostels. And PGs are also available there at lesser prices. There is no canteen in college. Classrooms are good and labs are good but the equipment does not work properly. Library facilities are also available. 3 WiFi connections are available in college.
Clubs & Associations : Students are very good there. Every year last year students organise the techfest. And freshers and farewell party are also organised in the famous hostels. There are 51 sports programmes that are organised by our college. Life in college is good.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Indira Gandhi Engineering college is at Sagar Madhya Pradesh it is the out of 7 Government Engineering College of Madhya Pradesh and it is one of the most important college of Engineering in Madhya Pradesh it has several branches of Engineering such as information technology civil engineering mechanical engineering electrical engineering. But the Indira Gandhi Engineering College has some campus problem for the placement it does not get many more campus what this problem will be short outed very soon.
Fees & Scholarships : I am from the general category and I did not get any kind of any scholarships for my studies I have to pay nearly 20000 per semester for my studies what the students of OBC and SC/ST got t scholarships from the government for the studies and the number of those students is nearly 55% in the college
Academics & Faculty : The faculty provided by the college for teaching the students are good but the classrooms had not well maintained and also the Laboratories are not well maintained all the Machines do not work properly that's why the students up to face some problems and the daily routine or the daily timing of the college is very lengthy it is from 10:30 in the morning to 5:30 in the evening in this long time period the students get bored and there is not any facility or there is not any good facilities for the sports music and any other outfield activities
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : The hostels classrooms and infrastructure of the college is not so good it is very dirty the water not came properly every time and it does not have any surety that the water coming is pure and in the hostel the food is supplied to the students very late because of this phenomenon the students got late for the classes
Clubs & Associations : In Indira Gandhi College of Engineering there is not any annual function it is very hard to find the freshers party and after the strikes of the student the Tech fest has been started from the since last year in the college
