Fees & Scholarships : Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, [IGIT] Dhenkanal Fee Structure. The course fee is about INR 40,000 per annum. TFW SCHEME is implemented for the meritorious students for their benefits in pursuing B.Tech. About 2-3 students from each branch get a scholarship based on their JEE Mains Score. For the financially backward student, they need loans from SBI; otherwise, the fees are decent.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria for applying into the institute is either a valid OJEE or JEE Score. Based on the year-wise cutoff, a candidate will get selected. I have taken JEE mains as well as I have given IISER and NISER. For the general category students, cut off is upto 3,00,000 whereas, for the reserved category, it goes upto 9,00,000 to 10,00,000.

Placements & Internships : I have done internships from Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers on Petroleum Refinery. Also, under SNTI PRASHIKSHAN, I have done a project 'Transistors' on the Process Instrumentation and Heat Treatment.  IT companies that visit are Accenture, TCS, Capgemini, Infosys, Mind Tree, etc.   Technical companies that visit are Tata Steel, Vedanta, Jindal, etc. These are the highest recruiters. Average salary figure ranges between INR 3-4 lakh, and the highest salary figure is INR 14 lakh per annum.  Mainly IT branches get placed 60% and other technical branches placed by 30%, and others primarily preferred doing higher studies.

Academics & Faculty : The class starts from 8 am to 4:30 pm. The course curriculum includes Project that should be submitted on the 4th semester. Minor projects are on the 7th and 8th semester. Internal exams are held within one month, and assignments are given weekly. Quality and methodology of teaching is excellent. I had an amazing experience in college with my friends and Teachers. I came to know my strengths and weaknesses while attending college and various events.  

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are separate hostels for boys and girls. The boy's hostel fees are INR 19,000; whereas the girl's hostel fee is INR 15,000 per annum. Yes, PGs are available.

Clubs & Associations : There are various clubs and associations on the campus. Some of them are IIChE, Chemical Society, Mechanical Society, Civil Society, Metallurgy Society, Robotics, Drishya 360 (Photography club), SOUL (Literary Club), l'diablos (Dance Club), and Anonymous (Dance Club). The Main festivals on campus are QUIMICA, TECHNOVATION, VISTAAR, HORIZON, ADMANTIUM, COSMITO, and UTSAHAAN. College life is very endearing and very pleasant. I experienced many things concerning the outside atmosphere. The atmosphere in college is lively and fresh.
