Institute of Management Education & Consultancy was established by ‘Moshal Education & Development Trust’ in the year 2016. The is approved by AICTE. IMEC is located in  Kumaon Region of Uttrakhand. 

The major goal behind setting up the institute in  Rudrapur is to raise awareness of management education and to provide employment to the students of small cities of Uttrakhand in industries which are not easily accessible. Rudrapur is an industrial hub and the institute tries to take advantage of its strategic location by providing the students with opportunities in the industries.

IMEC courses include Post Graduate Diploma in Management program that is designed to give the students with theoretical as well as practical knowledge to the students. The curriculum is designed to give both learning and training to the students and it also focuses on the overall development of the students.

Institute of Management Education and Consultancy is situated in US Nagar, Rudrapur, Uttrakhand. The institute is the first PGDM college in the area and is approved by AICTE.

Post Graduate Diploma in Management [PGDM]: 

PGDM program in IMEC follows the trimester system with each trimester lasting 12-13 weeks. All courses of the first year are mandatory and the second year the college offers elective courses that equip students with basic working knowledge in different functional areas of management. The PGDM curriculum of IMEC consists of seven months of training and learning modules that include both industrial and in-house training. The curriculum helps in imparting an awareness of ethical issues. To overcome the effects of globalization the students are also taught Foreign Languages like Spanish, Chinese, French & English. Skype lecture from international faculties are arranged in IMEC, and study tours abroad are also arranged with the help of the international advisory board.

IMEC have an Institute IndustryInteraction & Placement Cell [IIPC] that handles the association of the institute with industry. The goal of IIPC is the remove the gap between academia and industry by setting up opportunities for live projects and other developmental activities. The placement department works for providing professional education to industry, and identify the gaps in industry requirements. IIPC focuses on Joint Consultancy Projects, Internships and Full-Time Placement, for the students and these programs also provide the industry with fresh talent and allow them to mentor them early in their career and mold the talent as per the requirement of the industry.

IMEC focuses on developing the skill of students in the different aspects of the placement process like Group Discussions, Mock Interviews, Aptitude Traning, Professional Grooming, Interpersonal Communication Skills, Managerial Skills, and other soft skills. They also connect the students with industry for 3 months of internship and short term industrial training.

IMEC is located in Rudrapur, Uttrakhand which is an Industrial belt of the State Industrial Development Corporation of Uttrakhand Limited (SIDCUL). Where more than 400 industrial units are located. The students, as well as the industries, can reap the benefit of the unique geographical position of the institute.

The institute has well-equipped lecture rooms and tutorial rooms for students with facilities like LCD projectors and infrared pointers. There are library and reading room with resources both online and offline that will help the students in their learnings.  The library has numerous online and offline resources that the student can avail to have a deeper understanding of different subject matters. 

IMEC campus has facilities of a state of the are seminar halls for seminars & workshops, a discussion room that students can use for collaborative studies and other developmental activities. IMEC also has a language lab which caters to students who wants to develop communication skill with impressive development and accent. Admissions to IMEC's PGDM program is offered on the basis of students' valid CAT/ MAT/ CMAT scores. The institute also conducts the IMEC entrance test. The shortlisted students are selected based on students' academics credentials. The students have to go through a Group Discussion and a Personal Interview round as part of the admission process.
