The institution offers programs in collaboration with Annamalai University and is a well-recognized institute in Chennai. Courses Offered by International Maritime Academy

IMA offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, and Doctoral courses in the disciplines of Science, Engineering, and Management. Major courses offered at IMA are B.Tech, M.Tech, Ph.D, MBA, B.Sc. IMA also offers PG Courses such as Master in International Business (MIB).

International Maritime Academy Application Form 2024

For all the courses, candidates can download the individual application forms from the college website or obtain them from the IMA office. If the candidate is eligible, they must send the filled-in application form along with a DD, to the campus for the reservation of seats. International Maritime Academy fee structure varies based on the course opted.

• The interested candidates can book their seats by downloading the application form from the website (or) can be collected directly from the office.
• If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can reserve your seat by sending Reservation fee of Rs 5,000/- by DD in favour of “International Maritime Academy Trust” Payable at Chennai. (Please verify your eyesight before reserve your seat). Reservation Receipt will be sent immediately. The Balance course fee has to be paid as intimated by the Academy.
• Those who are waiting for their (10+2) / HSC results, can also send the filled-in Application form along with the reservation fee (Seat Reservation Receipt will be sent immediately).
• The students who reserved their seat should report the IMA- Administrative office along with the passport size Photograph (Two), Original Mark sheet & Passing Certificate of 10th std & 12th std. (The Reporting Date will be informed to the Students).
• Verification of Mark sheets & Medical Test will be conducted at the Academy.
• If the students fail in the Medical test (which will be conducted at the Academy), will not be confirmed for their admission.
• The students, who are medically fit & found their eligibility marks correct, should pay the balance course fee before commencement of the course.

International Maritime Academy MBA and MIB Admission 2024

IMA Chennai offers an MBA under the following specializations: Shipping and Port Management, Shipping and Logistics Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Human Resource, International Business Management, Shipping and Marine Insurance Management. The institute also offers a Dual Specialization- Marketing & HR under the discipline of MBA. Aside from an MBA, the institute also offers a PG degree in International Business (MIB).

International Maritime Academy MBA and MIB Eligibility

Any degree from a recognized University with 50% marks. Mariners holding the following professional qualification obtained after a minimum duration of study-cum-training of 6 years after 10+2 are also eligible for admission.

• Master Foreign Going Certificate of Competency.
• First Class Motor or Steam or Combined (Chief Engineer) Certificate of Competency issued by the Directorate General of Shipping, Ministry of Shipping, Government of India or its counterparts in other countries.

IMA, Chennai offers a B.Tech. degree with two specializations i.e., Naval Architecture & Ship Building and Marine Engineering. It also offers a B.Sc. degree in Natural Science.

International Maritime Academy UG Eligibility

The candidates must possess a 60% Average in PCM at 10+2 qualifying exams. Admission to both programs is also offered via Lateral Entry. Candidates with a valid 10+2 qualification must appear for the Personal Interview along with a passport size Photograph (Two), Original Mark sheet & Passing Certificate of 10th std & 12th std. Verification of Mark sheets & Medical Test will be conducted at the Academy. The students who fail to pass the medical exam won’t be granted admission.
