Entrance Exams & Admissions :
Eligibility Criteria: Any entrance exam for MBA (CAT/CMAT/MAT)
Admission Process: For me, the admission process included a video interview with two of the faculties. The interview focused on general questions about my background, educational qualifications, hobbies/interests etc. There were also questions on current events to test how up-to-date we are with what is in the news. Situational questions were also asked to gauge our thinking process and personality. Overall, the interview lasted for about 20 minutes. 2 days after the interview process I received an Admit letter from the college.
Entrance examinations that I took: CAT, CMAT and SNAP.
Placements & Internships :
Internships: The team works closely with the students to improve and advise them on their resume. Currently, I'm doing an internship with getmyuni for a content marketing role. The stipend is Rs. 6K per month. We've also had companies like KPMG, ITC come to campus for placements.
Key Companies: We have companies relate to HR, marketing, Finance and Business Analytics that hire from our campus. For finance, we had companies like Wells Fargo, LSEG, IDFC First Bank, ICICI among others. For marketing; Otomeyt, Amazon, Decorpot, NoBroker. For HR, we had Bosch, Syngene, Pentagon Space and for Business Analytics we've had Mu Sigma, NxtGen, Speridian technologies, among others.
Salary offered (per year): 6LPA (average), 9LPA (highest). The number of placements from the previous year decreased compared to the rest of the years due to the pandemic. But usually more 70-80% of students get placed in good companies.
Alumni Network: Alumni network in college is interactive and helpful. If you are interested in a company where there a few alumni's working already, the placement team helps you get connected to them so that you can solve your doubts. In my experience, the alumni network is strong and dependable.
Academics & Faculty :
Daily Routine: As expected from a management course, the routine can get quite hectic with assignments, presentations and extra-curricular and exam prep. But all of these help in developing your managing skills and your overall personality. The class timings are from 9 am to 4:20 am.
Overall Experience: The Faculty is efficient in their teaching and very approachable. One can contact any faculty for any doubt whether related to academic or career. We also have a mentorship program in college where each student is assigned a faculty to provide counselling and guidance throughout their stay in ISME. Extra-curricular events are student organised, making it all the more fun and challenging. There are many networking opportunities provided (NHRD, alumni meets, guest lectures etc.). Overall it has been a good learning experience.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities :
Infrastructure: The classrooms are spacious. The campus provides a hostel facility and the hostel is well-maintained, clean and sanitized from time to time. Washrooms are very clean and hygienic. The hostels for boys and girls are separate. WiFi is available at the hostel. The hostel fee for 1 year is around 1 lakh (this includes the food and laundry service). The food is strictly vegetarian and delicious. The canteen is also well-maintained. The campus has an amphitheatre where students can hang out after a long day in class. We have a variety of useful books available at the library which can be accessed during class hours.
Clubs & Associations :
Students societies/Clubs: For the first year we have the following clubs: Literary, Communication, CSR and E-Cell. As a literary club member, I can definitely say that the club activities have been fun and engaging from the get-go. From comedy to acting to anchoring, the club has done it all.
Fests include: Ignito Buzz (cultural fest organised by BBA students) and Busi-Buzz (management fest organised by PGDM students)
In general the events that occur in college, both cultural and academic-related, will make your college life all the more interesting
