JIMMC Kanpur Infrastructure: Library, Auditorium, Cafeteria & Other Facilities

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Hostel facility is not available although, my college is located in a very busy area and a to PGs are available nearby. There are two canteens and they are not so lavish. The classrooms and labs are well equipped with projects and centrally air-conditioned.

Entrance Exams & Admissions :   The eligibility criteria for getting admission is quite simple. The candidate must have a 10+2 or equivalent degree to get into the college. And for post-diploma, any graduate or equivalent degree is necessary. The college conducts a written entrance along with group discussion and personal interview for selecting the students. 

Placements & Internships : During my course duration, I worked as a copywriter intern at Grey Work Wide (India). I found the internship on my own and got selected based on the interview and my work samples. The stipend was 10k/month. During my two months internship, I worked on various brands and created advertisements for them on digital platforms. Some of the brands that I worked with included: Philips, HP, RB, Luxor, Revv, etc. My college does not offer placement guarantee, it is based on the performance of the individual and their capabilities whether or not they will get the placement offer.  Several alumni of our college are working in MNCs and other renowned media platforms. Some of the alumni come from time to time as guest lecturers to share their journey with the current batches. although, there is no official portal where the students can connect to alumni. 

Fees & Scholarships : Jagran Institute of Management and Mass Communication, Kanpur Fee Structure. The fee for my entire course is Rs 2,00,000. No scholarship is provided in my college although students pursuing a diploma in mass communication are offered a complementary course of bachelors of arts from the same institution. No loans are needed.

Academics & Faculty : The classes were held from Monday to Friday and the timings were from 10 am to 5 pm. The teachers were quite active and had greater knowledge in their respective fields  My college experience was quite greater I was a participative student and had won various prizes in different fields. Along with this, my interest in my subjects also helped me to score good grades.

Clubs & Associations : Our college holds the annual youth fest UDGHOSH and KALANJALI which is held every alternate year. My college life alpha and I had a great experience in both academics and literary activities.
