Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences, Etawah was established in by Act No. 15 of 2016 at the Uttar Pradesh State legislature. The University was formerly known as the Uttar Pradesh Rural Institute of Medical Science and Research. The other branches of the University include Dental Services, Para Medical College, Nursing College and College of Pharmacy. 

Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences courses includes undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma courses. The University offers good facilities for the students to grow both intellectually and academically. The infrastructure facilities at the University is on par with the best Universities in Uttar Pradesh.
