Admission Process

Eligibility

1) For B.E./B.Tech (First Year)

• Other Communities (OC)

• Pass in 12th standard or equivalent with at least 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

• Backward Class Community (BC) of Tamil Nadu

• Pass in 12th standard or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
• Candidates must provide a Community Certificate signed by the Tahsildar.

• Most Backward Class Community (MBC) of Tamil Nadu

• Pass in 12th standard or equivalent with at least 45% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
• Candidates must provide a Community Certificate signed by the Tahsildar.

• SC/ST Community of Tamil Nadu

• Pass in 12th standard or equivalent with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
• Candidates must provide a Community Certificate signed by the Tahsildar.

• Candidates from Other States (irrespective of community)

• Considered as OC (Other Community).

2) For Lateral Entry – Direct to Second Year B.E./B.Tech

• Other Communities (OC)

• Pass in 3-year Diploma examination in the relevant subject from the State Board of Technical Education or equivalent, with a minimum of 55% marks in the final year examination.
• Pass in any recognized Bachelor’s degree in Science (minimum 3 years) with Mathematics as a subject.

• Backward Class Community (BC) of Tamil Nadu

• An aggregate of 50% marks in the final year Diploma examination or final year B.Sc. degree course.

• Most Backward Class Community (MBC) of Tamil Nadu

• An aggregate of 45% marks in the final year Diploma examination or final year B.Sc. degree course.

• SC/ST Community of Tamil Nadu

• Merit pass in the Diploma Course or B.Sc. degree course.

JNN Institute of Engineering provides various scholarship programs to support meritorious and deserving students, ensuring financial constraints do not hinder their journey towards earning an engineering degree. The available scholarships are as follows:

1) JNN Merit Scholarships for Tamil Nadu Students

• Scholarship Value: Over INR 3 Lakhs
• Eligibility: Awarded to TN students with more than 170 cut-off marks in their 10+2 exams.

2) Alamelu Ammaal Memorial Scholarship for Andhra Pradesh Students

• Scholarship Value: Over INR 3 Lakhs
• Eligibility:

• Students with 95% or more in MNC are awarded 75% scholarship.
• Students with 90% or more in MNC are awarded 50% scholarship.
• Students with 80% or more in MNC are awarded 25% scholarship.

3) J.N.N. Lateral Entry Scholarships

• Scholarship Value: More than INR 2 Lakhs
• Eligibility:
