Entrance Exams & Admissions : Eligibility criteria- completion of 12th with physics, chemistry and maths. The candidate should score a minimum of 60%. There is no entrance exam for this course. It is solely based on the 12th performance. The cutoff is around 70% (PCM). It is difficult to get a seat if the candidates' overall percentage in PCM is below 50%.
Placements & Internships : There is no campus placement for my branch but for the engineering and IT branches they provide internships. Many students got off-campus placement in MNC like Capgemini, tcs, etc. Percentage (cgpa) is very good in each year batch. The average cgpa is around 8-9.
Fees & Scholarships : My course fee per year is around 10,000-12,000. Candidates can get a scholarship by applying through the Ishaan Uday program. There is no need to take a loan. Studying here is quite affordable.
Academics & Faculty : The daily routine is well managed by the institution. They take mid-term exams to see through students' progress, and assignments and projects are given from time to time. Quality, as well as the method of teaching, is very good here. Rarely does any professor skip their classes. Overall experience is average. Academically it is best, but CCA activities are not commenced that much.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are separate hostels for girls and boys. I am not sure how many are there. The girl hostel fee is around 1500. There are many pgs available in college locality. The cost is around 5k-7k. College canteen food is awesome per meal 30rs(Paratha and vegetables with chutney and ketchup). Varities of options are available there at affordable prices. Infrastructure quality is average. The classroom, labs, library, and canteens are well maintained.
Clubs & Associations : One can join management associations, music clubs, etc. Cultural programmes, annual sports, varieties of games like treasure hunt, etc are organised in campus time to time. In general, life in college is good.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : At first, for eligibility criteria, we have to attend Combine Entrance Examination and crack the exam. After qualifying for the CEE exam, I got admission to JIST by counseling process. I took Combined Entrance Examination (CEE). The typical cutoff of my course is 25% of the full 300 marks.
Placements & Internships : Yes, I did my internship in Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) on a Divisional workshop.
Fees & Scholarships : Jorhat Institute of Science and Technology, Jorhat Fee Structure. The course fee is about INR 20,000 per annum. Only 20% of students get the scholarship from our college. No, loans are not necessary.
Academics & Faculty : The classes begin at 9 am and end at 3.30 pm. The quality and method of teaching is average. My overall experience in college is good.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are three boys hostel and two girls hostel, and our hostel fee is INR 1,500 per month. Besides, there are so many PGs around the college. The quality of classrooms, labs, and libraries are very good.
Clubs & Associations : There are so many clubs and student societies in our college. The main sports are football and cricket. The engineering student life in college is good.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : If you want to take admission for the Engineering course in Jorhat Institute of Science and Technology(JIST) you should appear for the ASSAM CEE exam. If you are shortlisted then you will be called for the interview so have patience to study hard. The expected cutoff is around 150 out of 300.
Placements & Internships : The college will provide you opportunities to do the internship. I have done my internship, at IOCL and other at Doordarshan. Top companies like Wipro, Saloni Hiwei come and hire students. The average salary is around INR 3.6 lakh per annum. The college has a strong alumini network and it is growing.
Fees & Scholarships : The total course fee for Engineering degree per year is around INR 10,000 to INR 12,000. There is government sponsored scholarship. Loans are not required for me but if anybody wants then the bank is there to provide it. As it is a government Institute so the loan is not a problem.
Academics & Faculty : The daily routine is from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. In between, you will have your classes projects, practicals and all. The teaching quality is good. Teachers are friendly. From my experience, the college is a perfect hub for learning. With passing time college is implementing the more modern technology.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are 3 boys and hostel 2 girls hostel. A number of good pg facility is available within 1000 meter of college boundary. Food is of average.
Clubs & Associations : There is electronics hobby club, quiz club, and cultural club on the campuses. We celebrate all the major festivals with great energy. It is a home away from home.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Eligibility criteria for B.Sc in Jorhat Institute of science and technology are that the student must have acquired minimum of 65% in their 12th boards with Maths as a compulsory subject. An entrance exam is held for selecting 60 students for the course per year. There are merit seats for OBC, ST and SC students 9 seats for each class.
Placements & Internships : Some organization in which our alumni are working are Indian oil corporation limited, oil India limited, WIPRO, TCS, ORACLE, AMTRON, Vodafone, Zaloni, Huawei etc.
Fees & Scholarships : The fee is IN 7,000 in the odd semesters and INR 4000 in the even semesters. Scholarships are available for the students.
Academics & Faculty : Classes start at 9:15 am to 3:00 pm. Each class is 45 minutes with a break from 1:25 pm to 2:15 pm. Midterm exams are held at the mid of the semester. Final examinations are held at the end of the semester. The faculty is very good. Overall studying in this college was really fruitful.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Hostel facilities are available on the campus for both boys and girls. There is one girl's hostel and three boys hostel. The mess dues per month are INR 1500. The PG's are available on the college campus. The food in the college canteen is good. The quality of the classrooms, labs, libraries, dining halls is good. Cleanliness and hygiene are maintained. The labs are equipped with new equipment. The library is quite huge and contains all sort of books. All the hostels and the classrooms are connected to Wi-Fi network.
Clubs & Associations : There is a JIST women cell and electronic hobby club. The main event of JIST is Abeyaantrix. It also has events like college week and engineers day. The life in this college is quite good.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : I joined the college by clearing the entrance exam Assam CEE . My score was around 121 out of 300. The cut off was around 112 for OBC and 114 for GM category. And 90 for SC,ST .
Placements & Internships : Manufacturing companies, sales companies recruit from my college. I am not sure about the salary package.
