Affiliated with the University of Gour Banga (formerly North Bengal University), it stands as one of the largest degree colleges in Uttar Dinajpur district. Undergraduate degree programs are available with a duration of either 3 years (six semesters) or 4 years (eight semesters), offering multiple entry and exit points, as well as re-entry options. These programs provide the following certifications based on the length of study:

• A UG certificate after completing 1 year (2 semesters) in the chosen field.
• A UG diploma after completing 2 years (4 semesters) of study.
• A bachelor's degree after completing a 3-year (6 semesters) program.
• A 4-year bachelor’s degree (Honours) after an eight-semester program. If a student completes an extensive research project in their major area(s) of study in the 4th year, they will earn a Bachelor's degree (Honours with research).

Duration:

The UG program lasts for 4 years or 8 semesters. Students opting for a 3-year UG program may exit after completing the 3rd year. Those who leave after the 1st or 2nd year will receive a UG Certificate or UG Diploma, respectively, provided they meet the required credit requirements. Students exiting with a UG Certificate or UG Diploma can re-enter within three years to complete their degree program.

Furthermore, students may take a break during their studies, but the total duration to complete the program must not exceed 7 years.

• A 5% relaxation is available for SC/ST candidates.
• For the B. Com. course, candidates must have studied Mathematics, Statistics, Accounts, or Economics as a compulsory subject.
• To apply for the Honours program, candidates need to have at least 45% marks in the relevant Honours subject in Class XII.
• Environmental Studies marks will not be included in the average score calculation.
• If a candidate selects an Honours subject outside their subject combination, the marks for that Honours subject will be considered as zero in the merit list.
