Karpaga Vinayaga College of Engineering and Technology (KVCET) was founded under Karpaga Vinayaga Educational Trust. Founded in 2001, KVCET Kanchipuram is approved by AICTE New Delhi. The college aspires to provide education and technical training of international standards to its students to turn them into important assets to this nation.

Spread in a sprawling campus of 63 acres, the campus of the college is an exquisite example of modern infrastructure combined with the serenity of nature. The campus is built to be environment-friendly and clean to give the students a healthy atmosphere to learn in. The campus of the college is packed with all the facilities relevant to the overall growth of the students. 

The college has 130 full-time faculties striving to provide the students with the latest knowledge along with 120 Technical support staff. The college has a 15:1 student to faculty ratio. It offers Postgraduate and Undergraduate programs for a variety of courses in Engineering, Management, and Computer Application. Bio-Technology 

The college started this department in 2002 and since then 11 batches of students have passed out. The entire department is managed by the Management and the teachers.

Computer Science and Engineering 

Established in the year 2001, the department is accreditated to NBA, New Delhi, and is approved by the Centre for Research by Anna University, Chennai.

Mechanical Engineering

The department got accredited by NBA in the year 2013. This discipline involves the study, design, development, and construction of all the physical devices and systems.

 Civil Engineering

Opened in the year 2012, the department is also affiliated to Anna Univesity. It has the most hardworking faculty with years of experience in teaching.

Bio-Medical Engineering

Started in the year 2012, the department has an intake of 60 students. Affiliated to Anna University, the department works on the fields of Biomechanics, Biomedical Engineering, Medicine, and Bioinstrumentation.

 Electronics and Communication

The department was established in 2001. Apart from academics, the department also focuses on research and development.

Electrical and Electronics

The department started offering an undergraduate course in 2005 and a postgraduate course in 2011. It is approved by AICTE.

 Automobile Engineering

This department started in 2010. It has a well-qualified faculty with years of experience in teaching as well as in their relevant fields. The department offers advanced laboratories and is involved in several areas of researches.

Science and Humanities

It is the parent department of - Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English Departments. These subjects make the basics of the courses of engineering and hence the students are provided with adequate knowledge in all of them.

MBA

The MBA department offers the MBA course for a span of 21 months which also includes the summer internship. The department focuses on areas like Leadership Development, and Collaborative Environment.

Computer Application

Founded in 2006, the department of computer application offers an MCA course. Four batches of students have passed out of this department. The department offers quality education with experienced teachers. At present, it has 12 faculty members who specialize in the area of Networking, Database, Java, Dotnet, and other programming languages.

 Research and Development

The Department of Research and Development was established in July 2009. The department was formed with the idea of promoting and supporting research in a variety of areas. It is also responsible for maintaining healthy relations with funding agencies, governments, and NGOs.
