B.E. Admission Eligibility Criteria

Category A: HSC (10+2) / Equivalent Academic Qualification

• General Category (OC): Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
• Backward Class (BC) and BC (Muslims): A minimum average of 45% in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
• Most Backward Class (MBC) & Denotified Communities (DNC): A minimum average of 40% in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
• Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Caste Arunthathiyars (SCA), and Scheduled Tribe (ST): A minimum average of 40% in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

Category B: HSC (Vocational Stream)

• General Category (OC): A minimum aggregate of 50% in relevant theory and practical vocational subjects.
• Backward Class (BC) and BC (Muslims): A minimum aggregate of 45% in related theory and practical subjects.

Lateral Entry (Direct Second-Year Admission) for B.E./B.Tech Programs

• Diploma Holders: Candidates must pass a relevant Diploma in Engineering/Technology recognized by the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu, or its equivalent.
• B.Sc Graduates: Candidates must hold a recognized B.Sc degree with a minimum of three years’ duration (10+2+3 pattern), including Mathematics as a compulsory subject at the degree level.
