LIBRARY:

Library is the heart of the institution. It is a unique Knowledge Centre, which offers essential and specialized information resources and services to meet the information needs of the users. The Central Library of RIT has been playing a vital role in overall development of the college since its inception. The library is enriched with variety of books, well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of books, e-books, periodicals, e-journals, newspapers, CD-ROMs etc.

To cultivate 'reading culture' amongst the students library increases a collection of general reading books also from time to time.

The library has subscribed e-journals as well as print journals over Rs. 25 lakhs. The total investment in the library is more than Rs. 3.37 crores.

Digital Library:

In the modern information based era, the students and faculties require pinpointed, exhaustive and quick information. To fulfill this requirement, we have developed a well equipped Digital Library with 50 computers to provide access to electronic resources such as e-journals, e-books, digitized question papers etc. The students and faculties can search, browse, download or print the article from e-journal or a portion from e-book, subject to copyright restrictions. The GATE CDs are also made available to the students for the preparation of GATE examination which is helpful to the students to face the GATE examination confidently and successfully.

The RIT's New Central Library Building

RIT Central Library will soon be housed in an independent, four-storied, air conditioned and wi-fi enabled building with a carpet area of over 35,000 Sq. ft. It will be a full-fledged, high-tech learning center for the engineering and management community in the vicinity and, in particular for students, faculties and staff of the Institute.

The lower ground floor having area of 6475 sq. ft. shall be reserved for stacking. A Bank Extension Counter and an ATM facility could be availed on the same floor. There would be a small reading area also.

The upper ground floor will have availability of waiting room, index search circulation counter, reference section and digital library. There would be space for exhibition and cabins for the library staff, here.

The first and second floors are primarily dedicated for the stacking of books. Here, we shall also have cubicles for research scholars, who could accommodate 32 of them and digital library. There would be two ultra modern reading halls on these floors which can accommodate more than 500 learners, each table shall be provided with a terminal for laptop/notepad.

HOSTELS:

One of the major concerns of parents about their wards is the facilities of stay and food. RIT promises parental care to boys and girl students residing in the hostel.

The boys hostel accommodates 650 students and 254 girl students can be accommodated in the ladies hostel. Six messes ensure quality food and reverse osmosis system is installed for drinking water. Hot water through solar system is provided at every floor. Uninterrupted power supply is provided with the help of generators.

Stringent security and discipline norms are induced to avoid any ill elements to enter the campus.. 24 Hours 20 MBPS Internet access to all. Ladies hostel offers some special facilities like cooking gas and electric geezers. Hostel Staff staying in each hostel building helps to maintain study atmosphere in the hostel campus. Dispensary in the campus takes care of preliminary free medical treatment. An ambulance is always ready to meet any medical emergency. 24 hrs canteen facilities (Tea & Snacks) during examination period Modern Gym facility within the campus. Tea/Coffee vending machine has been installed in hostel campus for the use of boys and girls students. Provided TVs in all the messes and daily News papers for updating their knowledge

Beautiful green campus of hostel makes their every morning wishful and evenings memorable.
A new college guest house has been commissioned for the visiting guest and for the parents.

CENTRAL COMPUTING FACILITIES:
The Institute has a well- developed Central Computing Center. The Center extends all support for computing services. More than 130 Pentium IV & above machines, 33 licensed software and allied equipment make it a resourceful node of service. The center has developed seven software thus computerizing all major processes and services like admission, library, student records, accounts, central stores and results processing.

It also looks after the hardware maintenance, Wi-Fi Campus wide networking, Website development and Round the clock internet facility of 40 MBPS.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE LABORATORY:
In the present competitive world a need for English language and training in communication is felt necessary. To meet these requirements Rajarambapu Institute of Technology established a language laboratory. This is a multimedia information tool in self-learning mode for facilitating communication in English. This computerized tool consists of a teacher station and twenty-four student stations. Each student is provided with a learner-booth which includes a computer to see the visual content and a microphone or sound system in common for audio content in it. Laboratory proves beneficial for those students who are poor in use of English language. It aims at confidence-building among students for interactions and presentations in English. To learn basic English language skills, communication skills and to practice aptitude series our students use Globarena GEMS software (installed in LAN), on which students have individual accounts. Also students have access to the web content on the company’s server which provides opportunity for additional practice anytime-anywhere on internet.

GYMNASIUM:
RIT has been keen in providing sufficient time and facilities for sports and gymnasium. The ‘Swasthya Sadhana Mandir’ is equipped with the nine station gym, vibrator, rowing machine. The facilities for indoor games like table-tenis, carom, chess are available here. Volleyball, basketball, badminton courts as well as cricket, kho-kho and kabaddi grounds makes the gymkhana not less than a sports complex. RIT shares the athletics track, football & hockey fields with its neighboring sport complex.

CONSUMER'S CO-OP STORES:
The RIT Students Consumers Co-oprative Stores caters to the needs right from stationery and cutlery items to cosmetics and uniform dress material. Educational aids like calculators and drafters are made available through an educational kit and loose as well. A student can rely on this stores for his every requirement. The freshers especially feel relieved as they receive kits of bedding and educational aids.
