KIT's College of Engineering, [KITCE] Kolhapur was established in 1983 and is an autonomous institute affiliated under Shivaji University, Kolhapur. It is been awarded 'A' by Government of Maharashtra. It is approved by AICTE. It is accredited as grade 'A' by NAAC and NBA. KIT College of Engineering Admissions is based on the past academic merit and scores in qualifying examinations.

The Institute offers education in the field of Engineering and Management. It is a spacious campus in which it has a main building, hostels for boys and girls, workshops with a built-up area of around 23,500 sq.m., an innovative waste recycling system, windmills and gardens dotted with solar-powered lamps.

The infrastructure that has classrooms, drawing halls, Computer laboratories, seminar halls, library, canteen, open-air auditorium, and a gymnasium. The playground which faces the main building is where all the outdoor activities are held.

KIT's College of Engineering Hostel Details:

• KIT provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls separately.
• The boys' hostel is a multistorey apartment in which 300 boys can be occupied
• The hostel is provided with the connected mess facility, computer facility, Wi-Fi, gym, etc.
• Ladies hostel is a multistorey apartment in which 120 girls can be occupied. 
• The admissions for hostel students are based on the first cum first served basis.
• KIT College of Engineering Infrastructure includes all the facilities like canteen, transportation, store, bank, etc.
