Khallikote University commenced its operations on August 1, 2021, as per Government letter no. 31432/HE, dated 06.08.2021. This historic institution, founded as a school in 1856 in Berhampur, evolved into an intermediate college in 1878 under the name Native College. In 1893, it was renamed Khallikote Autonomous College in recognition of the generous donation of 16.5 acres of land by the Raja of Khallikote. Degree programs in Arts and Science were introduced in 1944, followed by Commerce and Mathematics in 1963, with other subjects added in subsequent years under the affiliation of Berhampur University. Since 2015, it has been a lead college under Khallikote University, and in 2021, the institution embarked on a renewed journey, aiming to foster innovation, creativity, and success.

Admission Process

• Candidates seeking admission to the undergraduate (UG) courses at Khallikote Autonomous College must have completed their 10+2 education in the relevant discipline. For postgraduate (PG) courses, applicants need to hold a graduate degree in the respective field, with a minimum of 50% marks (or 45% for SC/ST candidates).
• Admissions to UG, PG, and PG Diploma courses (except MBA) will be based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. For the MCA course, admission is determined by the marks obtained in the state-level OJEE examination.
• Applications for all entrance exams are submitted online.
