Kingston Educational Institute was instituted in the year 2004 under the leadership of the Father Founder, Late Utpal Bhattacharjee & Mrs. Uma Bhattacharjee. The Institute is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and has received approval from the National Council for Teacher Education, the AICTE, and the Bar Council of India. KEI is certified by NASSCOM and the Indian Chamber of Commerce. KEI has also signed an international MOU i.e. HTMI (Hotel and Tourism Management Institute Switzerland, HELP University College.

The Kingston Education Institute campus covers 28 acres, which includes unique well-designed buildings for each of its colleges. On the same campus, the institute has a Polytechnic College, a Management College, a Law College, a Teachers' Training College, and a Model School.
