KLE Society’s College of Pharmacy was established in 1968 within the pleasant environs of JN Medical College, Belgaum, with the aim of providing quality education in pharmaceutical sciences. The courses started with, Diploma in Pharmacy (1968) followed by B. Pharm (1975), M. Pharm (1988), the Ph. D Programmes (2000), M. Sc. in Clinical Pharmacy (2013) and eventually Pharm. D (2014). The institution became a constituent unit of KLE Academy of upper Education and Research, Belagavi, [Deemed-to-University] in 2009.
Over the past 50 years of its existence the school has transformed in to a Centre of educational excellence, which is clear by unique milestones like NBA and NAAC accreditation; and 22nd Rank among Pharmacy colleges everywhere India by NIRF (MHRD), consecutively in 2018 & 2019. All courses at the institute are recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and AICTE. The institute features a strong alumni association with over 2000 active members, who are placed globally at various positions in academics, Clinical, Industrial, Regulatory and Entrepreneurial services. The institute is additionally recognized as a top quality Improvement Program (QIP) Nodal Centre and recognized as Continuing Education in Pharmacy (CEP) Centre by Pharmacy Council of India. Research programmes are ongoing within the disciplines of Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology.
KLE College of Pharmacy offers two 4 and 6-year degree programs within the field of pharmacy at the undergraduate level. It currently offers a 4-year B. Pharm. course alongside a 6-year Pharm. D. program to eligible candidates who have passed their 10+2 level exam with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subject alongside Mathematics/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Biotechnology. Selection of candidates for both theses program is completed through an entrance test (KLEU-AIET) conducted by the governing university (deemed-to-be).

Only online mode of application and fee payment is recognized by the Institute for the aim of admission and subsequent selection.
KLE College of Pharmacy offers a 2-year M. Pharm. program at the postgraduate level. Specialization offered under the M. Pharm. program include Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to this program is a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm.) degree from a recognized institute. Candidates are also required to obtain a minimum of 55 percentile marks in the qualifying exam. Selection of candidates is done on the basis of their performance in the entrance test conducted by the Institute on all-India basis.

Candidates seeking admission to the M. Pharm. program may apply online by filling the online application form available at the institute’s website. Payment of application fee for the M. Pharm. program can be done online using credit/ debit card or net-banking. It is mandatory for all candidates applying for the M. Pharm. program to take the KLEU-AIET for the respective session.
KLE College of Pharmacy offers doctoral level programs (Ph.D.) in various disciplines of pharmacy, viz. Pharmaceutics, and Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, and Pharm chemistry. The essential eligibility criteria for admission to the present program is an M. Pharm. degree with 50% marks. Selection of candidates is completed on the idea of their performance in entrance test followed by a private interview conducted by the Ph.D. Admission Committee.
Prospective candidates may download the appliance form and knowledge brochure from the university’s website and submit a duly filled copy of the appliance alongside photocopies of all relevant documents so on reach on or before the last date. The appliance fee for Ph.D. are often paid through demand draft only.
