KLE University has attained the credit as one of the top ten colleges in India. The shortage of medical facilities in the region gave rise to KLE University. The vision of the university is to strive for excellence through quality education programs. The college is accredited "A" by NAAC. Dr.S.G.Desai became the head of the institution in 1971. His work between 1971 and 1985 was marked by the achievement of high standards of discipline and academic excellence. KLE provides a wide range of courses which include Medicine, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, and many more.

There are multiple colleges as well as hospitals under the administration of the University. Apart from academics, the institution believes in the overall development of the students, hence offering various extracurricular activities as well in terms of arts and sports.

KLE University Admissions :

Application for KLE Admission is done either offline or online. The following are the exams required for the admission and counselling process followed by KLE University.

• For admissions to MBBS and BDS courses, the candidate must qualify common entrance exam NEET-UG for the academic year
• For admissions to other UG courses are done based on the marks obtained in the KLE University conducted CET for UG - KLEU-AIET UG.
• For PG courses, eligible students are admitted on the basis of the merit in qualifying entrance exam managed by the University for PG courses i.e. KLEU-AIET.
• Admissions to Ph.D. courses are done online. The candidates need to qualify the personal interview round to attain a seat in the Ph.D. program.

KLE University Hostel Details:

The following hostel facilities are provided at the KLE University Campus.

• There are separate hostels for boys and girls.
• Special Guesthouses for visitors and students.
• The hostel rooms are equipped with a bed, cupboard, table, and chairs for the students.
