The university has a wide range of sports facilities offered to interested students. Several sports events are conducted in the university, which has a strong Sports Advisory Committee, with faculties and students as members. Although the university is spread over 50 acres of land, with the increased number of students every year, the campus is slowly becoming overcrowded. The campus needs to be expanded to accommodate the increasing number of students, hence making it difficult for the students to access the facilities without standing in queues and waiting around.
Students have the opportunity to pursue their interests in co-curricular activities and their other skills by being involved in the clubs and society student chapters. The university has around 32 clubs for the student’s hobbies and 21 tech clubs that encourage them to enhance their technological skills. It also has 30 professional society student chapters.
In order to motivate students to be more socially responsible, the university has included NSS, NCC and Youth Red Cross schemes, as well as a Centre for Extension Activities. To add to the safety of the students, the university has maintained an anti-ragging campus over the years.
The university conducts national-level sports competitions, cultural festivals and techno-management events every year through which students are given opportunities to showcase their talents and abilities.

According to the past and present students of the university, most of the faculties here are inferior, with no proper knowledge or experience in their field of study, hence failing at imparting quality education to the students.
Per student’s opinions on the internet, some teachers have PhDs, but their teaching could be better. For selected departments, like Computer Science Engineering, there are qualified professors whose classes are useful for the students. But, in most cases, the teachers are just very strict and more focused on bringing students into line with the rules and regulations of the university. They are very strict about attendance and punctuality and are known to take away the mobile phones of students without warning. It is said that the students consider themselves lucky if they get classes with qualified and experienced faculties.
Besides, for reasons unknown to the students, the faculties find it difficult to stay at the university, resulting in them leaving without prior notice. This leads to losing good professors leaving the university every year. The faculty-to-student ratio has been inversely proportional over the years as well.
Although the university claims to have a 100% placement rate, students have mentioned that the placement opportunities here could be more satisfactory. Students have had to pay the university to get jobs through the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) system. Software Engineering graduates are the only category of students who receive decent salary offers from good companies.
Placement opportunities are accessible, but it is not as good as the other universities that offer similar kind of courses. However, the university is said to provide placement training and specialized training programs for its students to prepare them for the interviews with the participating companies.
According to the university’s official website, over 1000 companies have participated in the placement drive. Students are offered an average of INR 5.21 lakhs per annum, with the highest pay package being INR 25 lakhs per annum.
The students have pointed out that the 100% placements factor is true, but the jobs are not as impressive as it portrays to be. Only those students who meet the eligibility criteria after special training programs are allowed to participate in the good placement interviews.
The university is infamous for its expensive tuition fees, which do not match the quality of education provided. The course-wise fees per year for different undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered by KL University differ from course to course.
For Engineering programs, the average fees per year for different specializations fall between INR 1,35,000 and INR 2,85,000. Whereas for Management programs, the tuition fee per year range from INR 2,00,000 to INR 6,00,000, based on the programs.
For other undergraduate programs, such as B.Arch, B.Pharma, BBA with LLB, and so on, the fee structure is between INR 1,55,000 and INR 2,95,000. The average fee per year for master's programs range from INR 95,00,000 to INR 2,55,000.
