KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology was established in 2009 under the KPR Group is an autonomous college situated in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, India. KPRIET is a leading institution for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Chemical Engineering, Bio-Medical, Civil, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics and Mechanical Engineering. The college has gained its position in the top 200 in NIRF Ranking. The college is an Anna University recognized centre and is recognized by NAAC, NBA and SIRO.

KPRIET is an ISO 14001- 2015 Certified Institution. The college offers 11 Liberal Arts programs, UG, PG and Research programs in various disciplines of engineering, technology, science and humanities. There are 48 Non-statutory committees, along with 33 student clubs in the college and 56 MoUs signed with leading Industries and Corporations in India. The institution has a strong alumni network which evolved for needs from both the ends, i.e. academicians and professionals, with the aim of building a bridge between college life and career life so that the fresher graduates are made proactive to face the current challenges of the competitive professional world. Both the ends shall work hand in hand to help each other for achieving the goal. The idea took shape and the formation of the Alumni Association turned into reality. The Alumni Association of KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology was formed on 26th February 2016.

The college offers numerous facilities for the students to enhance their skills and to have an amazing campus life. the campus with a sprawling 270009 sq.m of total area houses a library, fitness centres, hostels for both boys and girls, kabaddi court, a sports complex, installation of solar panels for research purposes, RO plant, rainwater harvesting systems, sewage treatment plants, bio composting structures etc. The college provides facilities such as foreign language training, liberal arts programs and others include transport and various clubs and committees. The Library has over the years built a robust collection of over 24225 books, 124 current subscriptions to print journals, magazines, newspapers, and many other resources. The Central Library offers its users convenient access to the best of Engineering subject related digital resources through its subscription to e-databases in which more than 300 e-journals, 100 plus e-books from Pearson and McGraw-Hill with concurrent usage, consisting of scholarly contents round the clock all across the campus via Wi-Fi network. The library operates from 8.30 am till 8 pm on all working days. The on-campus facility is open to all staff and students. The college has about 54 laboratories with world-class infrastructure for grooming the technical skills of the students. KPRIET aims at catering to industrial needs and offers multi-disciplinary education to create employable graduates. A separate fitness centre is also available for women. Modern weight lifting machines for upper extremity and lower extremity for pull-down, pec deck, arm curl, abdominal crunch are available for exercising various parts of the body. Other equipments like treadmill, bicycle ergometer, rolling machine are also available to develop aerobic fitness. The college extends transportation facilities with about 15 buses available for commutation of both staff and students residing outside the campus.

Library
The institute has a central library equipped with all the necessary textbooks and reference books prescribed by the AICTE and Anna University. The centre is also equipped with computers, laser printers and heavy-duty photocopiers to ensure students have the benefit of using the material for their research study.

Hostel Details

• The college provides hostel facilities for candidates whose residence or stay is far from the college, candidates from other states and foreign national candidates.
• There are a total of 3 girls hostel and 5 boys hostel inside the campus premises. The hostels are fully furnished with top-class amenities.
• A dedicated canteen offers a nutritionally balanced diet for the students and all activities will be overseen by qualified wardens.
