Fees & Scholarships : Kumaraguru College of Technology, [KCT] Coimbatore Fee Structure. The course fee is about INR 80,000 per annum. They award the consistently top-scoring students with Mahatma Gandhi award. They also give a cash amount of about INR 10,000 for those students who have recieved the award. Around 6-7 students in a class are eligible for the scholarship provided.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : I went in through counselling. They also have entrance exams, and students can also get in through management if they have engineering cut off of about 140+. I didnt prepare for any entrance exams.  Students with engineering cut off of 182+ can easily get to choose the course in the counselling process.

Placements & Internships : As I was doing a course in fashion, I went to an internship at a buying office, for the position of a merchandiser. It was not a paid internship. Several IT companies hire students from our college. Some are Bosch, TCS, CTS, Infosys, and Accenture. For fashion, students are most likely to get placed in the decathlon, inspection units, designing units, and some spinning units in and around Coimbatore. Almost all students who opt for placement training get placed. Alumni are closely in touch with the college and all the proceedings. They often visit our classes and give motivation and guidance to those students who need help in deciding their future. They also conduct seminars.

Academics & Faculty : The class timings are from 8:30 am to 4:40 pm. Lab sessions are also included. The quality and method of teaching are really good. I would say that the experience I had while pursuing my course was just amazing.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are separate hostels for boys and girls. The boy's hostel consists of about five blocks, and the girl's hostel is of 3 blocks. The fee per year will be around INR 65,000 per annum. There are other colleges and IT companies around the college. So there are many out hostels and PGs available around. The cost in the PGs per month would be around INR 6,000 per month. The food on the campus is just like any hostel. There is no non-veg on the menu. The food is not limited. The cost of the meal is added along with the hostel fee. There is no need to pay for food separately. Wi-fi are available in the hostel premises. Classrooms and hostel rooms are neatly cleaned every day. Several labs are available to even conduct experiments on our own. The library is good and stocked with all books related to the course. Dining halls are separate for boys and girls. Canteens are also available in the campus for day scholar students.

Clubs & Associations : Several clubs have been started and also run entirely by students. From dance, music, literature, arts to designing, coding, and developing an engine, there is a club in every field. Intra and inter-college sports events happen every year at our campus. There is an event called Yugam, which happens around the mid of February. Celebrities are invited to perform. It is for about a week where students from other colleges are invited, and they get to attend workshops conducted by maestros of their field. There will also be fairs set up around the college. This college encourages students to get along with each other giving a good and memorable time on their campus. It is the best college for experiencing good time along with quality in education.
