Placement Cell
The placement cell of the college is very active, helping the students in a proactive way. It functions throughout the year. Usually the first half of the academic year the cell is busy placing the successful students of previous academic year while the second half through the summer vacation it helps placing the current year students.
The cell is managed by a committee of faculties selected from different streams and is chaired by a senior faculty. The placement cell is presently headed by Prof. B. T. Mukherjee. The other members are Prof. S. Kawane, Prof. J. Karve, Prof. J. Sukenkar, Prof. O. Datar and Dr. U. Kumavat.
For prompt and effective interaction with the students, the cell uses email, bulk sms services and also telephonic calls to inform the students regarding opportunities as well as for interview details. The cell also helps students who opted for professional courses but were junior college students of this college.
The placement cell helps the students in personality development. It conduct workshops on subjects like How to face personal interviews, How to crack Group discussions. It helps the students in preparing effective resume, inculcating corporate etiquettes with a view that our students are our brand ambassadors.
