The experiments like DNA isolation, restriction digestion, PCR amplification, Electrophoretic separation, gel documentation and transformation, etc can be performed in the molecular biology lab with the help of equipment housed in the molecular biology lab as well as in the common instrumentation lab.

5. Plant Tissue Culture Lab

Isolation of microorganisms of commercial importance and day-to-day practical sessions of students and other research activities are being carried out in the microbiology inoculation room.

8. Bioinformatics Lab

• Bioinformatics lab is equipped with several high-performance computers suitable for data mining, sequence analysis, structural biology, molecular modeling, and scientific graphics visualization tools.
• Bioinformatics facility is based on a number of UNIX servers accessible through the Internet and the Local Area Network (LAN).
• The facility maintains operating systems environments like UNIX, LINUX, and Windows compatible with PCs. T
• The network is enhanced with a fibre optic backbone devoted to the bioinformatics facility with Internet access at 16 Mbps.

Library

• The KVMCST library comprises one thousand two hundred and ten books in various disciplines like Biotechnology, Virology, Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Bioprocess technology, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Plant tissue culture,  Enzymology, Environmental Biotechnology, waster water engineering, Food safety, and laboratory manuals, etc.
• Hard copies of journals available in the library are the Indian Journal of Natural Products and Resources, the Indian Journal of Experimental biology, the Indian Journal of Biochemistry and Biophysics, the Indian Journal of Biotechnology, Current Science, and Biospectrum.
• This library is also a member of the Developing Library Network (DELNET) and DELNET supported journals and e-books are open to students. In addition to this, hard copies of the reputed national and international journals are also available.

Hostels

• There are separate hostels for boys and girls students within the campus with a capacity of about 100 in each.
• A serene atmosphere with utmost care and security is provided with ample facilities for recreation, medical aid, transportation, etc.
• This stress-free zone helps students to concentrate on their studies without any hindrance.
• A resident warden, deputy warden and a team of resident tutors ensure maintenance of a homely atmosphere and discipline.
• Medical help if needed is provided by KVM Hospital, Cherthala.

Conveyance

• College buses fly from Haripad, Ambalapuzha, Alappuzha, Muhamma, Edapally, Fort Cochin, Changanassery, Vaikom to the college campus.

Counselling center

• Programs for HR Training and counselling are conducted on a continuous basis by experts.
• In case a student has any problem with course work, personal and emotional problems, expert counsellors are there to extend help.

Canteen

• The College houses a full-fledged mess with a seating capacity of more than 300.
• Hygienic cooking facilities ensure high quality and tasty food for the students and the staff.
• In addition, a canteen of Himalaya Bakers is functioning within the campus which provides a variety of food and beverages at subsided rates.
