LPU B.Lib.I.Sc (Bachelor of Library and Information Science) is a one-year undergraduate course offered by the university for students willing to take up their careers in library science. Students who have finished a Bachelor’s degree in any stream can further pursue a Bachelor of Library and Information Science. The course duration of regular program is 1 year. B.Lib.I.Sc admission is through counseling and interview by the university. There is a 5% relaxation for students from North-East states and Defense personnel backgrounds. 10% relaxation is offered for an outstanding sportsperson.

LPU B.Lib.I.Sc Eligibility Criteria

Students who aspire to pursue B.Lib.I.Sc from LPU must have graduated with a Bachelor's degree from a recognized board or university. The course is offered either as a one-year program or 2-year program. To get admission for the course, it is necessary to secure the minimum percentage set by the university for the Bachelor's degree.

LPU B.Lib.I.Sc Fees

LPU B.Lib.I.Sc fee varies as per the score in the LPUNEST test, as it is considered for scholarship purposes. With LPUNEST, students may see a 20% to 30% reduction in tuition fees. The total tuition fee for the course is INR 1 Lakh.  

Other than the mentioned fees, students have to pay additional fees like services/ facilities for contingency, outreach, placement, medical, counselor, etc., as prescribed by the university.
