Academics & Faculty : Class starts from 9:30 am till 4:30 pm. You will be getting sufficient leisure time too. There will internals once in a month and externals once in every 6 months. After externals, you will be getting a vacation for 20-30 days MITE is having good and friendly teaching faculties with wifi and smartboard, projector facilities I had a good 4 years of experience in MITE. I wish to go back to MITE and do my engineering again
Entrance Exams & Admissions : I joined this college in 2013. I had given my Common Entrance Test(CET), in which I got 64K odd rank so I had no much hope of getting CET seat so I opt for management seat. I had to pay 70K fees. I think now is around 90K. I think you should score below 20K ranking to get a CET seat in MITE for Information Science & Engineering. It is a good course with good teaching faculties. people with interest can go for it.
Placements & Internships : I personally have not done any Internships during my college days. But currently, it is mandatory there to do an internship during our curriculum. Several companies come there for the drive and a few big-name companies too. 70%-75% percentage of the batch gets placed from starting salary from 2 lakhs per annum to 6lakhs per annum After you are done with your course there will be yearly Alumni meet once in Bangalore and once in college itself.
Fees & Scholarships : During my term that is in 2013, I had to pay 70K fees per year, now it will be around 90K-100K. Several scholarships options are also available based on your caste category and you PUC grade. You can go for bank loans too
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : For college and hostel infrastructure, I can go for 10 on 10. There are separate blocks for Mechanical and Civil along with washrooms and drinking water facilities in all the floors. All the classrooms and labs are Air Conditioned along with three beautiful Air Conditioned auditoriums There are Wifis in all the floors The college has a big playground for playing Cricket and football along with two goal posts along with 2 synthetic courts for playing basketball, tennis and badminton. There are separate hostel facilities for boys and girls with facilities like common room in every block for watching TV, gym, WiFi, a separate 2 stored mess for having food with both veg and non-veg food PGs are also available outside college which starts from 4K-5K per month. MITE green campus consists of gardens, water recycling unit (for purifying the drainage water for gardening purpose) and a beautiful Ganesh temple inside the campus.
Clubs & Associations : There are few student clubs, associations too in which anyone can be a part of. The college conducts sports meet, cultural programs, Onam celebration, Ganapathi festival, Freshers day, Teachers day, Graduation day, send-offs annually. The best part in MITE is it College fest, that is SENTIA. students across Karnataka come to see and participate in the fest. Fest will be for 4 days which includes several competitions which also includes cultural and technical competitions, Ethnic day, DJ night, Award night for which college will get anyone of the singer from Bollywood. Academics & Faculty : Class starts at 9 am, Morning session is till 1 pm, with 4 hours of classes and afternoon till 4:45 pm. With 3 hours of classes. 1 project every semester and every month there is internal exams, total there are 3 internals and one sem exams in 6 months. For every internal, there is one assignment. Overall is fun and tiring days in college.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria for the civil engineering course, is 60% in physics and chemistry. With CET rank under 80,000. I took CET entrance exam. Cutoff for my course was 85,000.
Placements & Internships : Internships are very good. Infosys, Amazon and many other companies hire as marketing, sales or for finance from our campus. The average salary is nearly INR 3,60,000 PA. Highest salary is nearly INR 12,00,000 PA. And the percentage of batch which gets placed is 40%. Alumni network is good.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are two hostel blocks, girls and boys hostels. Hostels are very good, clean and tidy very good maintained. The hostel fee per month is nearly Rs. 4,000. Food in college is hygienic and very healthy, cost per meal is nearly Rs.100 Quality of Classrooms, Labs, Libraries, dining halls, Wi-Fi and other key infrastructure are very good maintained.
Clubs & Associations : No there aren't any student societies, clubs or associations in the campus. Cultural fests are main in the campus. Knowledgeable college life learning new things every day.
