  • The NIFT 2025 application form will be released soon by the NTA. Students interested in B.Des, M.Des, B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, and M.F.M programs can apply and the exam is scheduled for February 2025.

NIFT Delhi initially started in 1986 with two two-room setup and a fashion designing course. Subsequently, the institute shifted to a full-fledged campus with four degrees (Bachelor in fashion design and accessory design & Master in Garment manufacturing technology & Apparel marketing & management ) in 1994. The National Institute of Fashion Technology is the largest of all the branches and offers seven bachelor's and three master's programs, with massive student strength. Admissions are granted based on scores obtained in the NIFT entrance exam, followed by a personal interview.

The institute has 15 branches in the country and was granted statutory status by the government of India in 2006, ergo empowering it to award degrees and other academic distinctions.NIFT has an iconic campus amongst all the other NIFT institutes and has state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities. NIFT has also been working as a knowledge service provider to national and state government departments in the area of designing, developing, and positioning handlooms and handicrafts.

NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology) Delhi A Statutory Institute under the NIFT Act, 2006 set up the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India was established in 1986; in earlier years, it offered only one fashion design program and operated from a two-room setup.

In 1994, it shifted to a full-fledged campus designed by Dr. B.V. Doshi, concept of a central step-well to conserve rainwater, a traditional Indian Baoli and is listed as one of the modern Iconic architecture of Delhi. Originally offering four programs, it now offers seven bachelor's and three master's programs, making it the largest NIFT campus with the largest student strength.

National Institute of Fashion Technology Admission

The NIFT 2025 exams, conducted by NTA, will take place in the 1st week of February 2025. The exam consists of two papers: GAT (computer-based) and CAT (offline-based). GAT is mandatory for all courses, while only B.Des and M.Des candidates need to take the CAT. The exam will be held across 60 cities in India. Candidates who qualify the written exam will proceed to a Situation Test/Personal Interview. The final result will be based on the written exam and the Situation Test/Personal Interview. National Institute of Fashion Technology Scholarships

NIFT Delhi provides two scholarship Schemes: the SARTHAK Financial Assistance Scheme and the UDAAN Merit Scheme. The NIFT SARTHAK scheme offers financial assistance to students who meet the eligibility criteria based on their parental income. Students in their second, third, or fourth year can apply online for this scheme. 

NIFT has also launched the UDAAN scholarship scheme for foreign studies to support students with academic merit but face economic challenges.
