Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech:
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 or Equivalent from the recognized board.
Scholarship Offered:
Manas Ranjan Sahu Scholarship:
- The scholarship will be awarded for EX Student in the memory of Manas Rajan Sahu for B.Tech students with the amount of Rs.25000/-
Economic Hardship Scholarship:
- This scholarship is given for Backward class students to meet the day to day academic expenses.
- The scholarship provided for 30 students from the college with the amount of Rs.18000/- per year.
Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme:
- Under this scheme, 5% of total intake of UG student, who family annual income is less than Rs.4.5 Lacs are given full Tuition fee.
Book Grant Scholarship:
- This scholarship is given for Backward class students to purchase Books, stationary for academics the scholarship will be given for 25 students.
Shiv Shankar Bisoi Scholarship:
- This scholarship in the memory of former student of 2001 batch. is given to one student per year and the amount of Rs.15.000/-
Travel Grant Scholarship:
- This scholarship is given to a student who publishes papers in any National/ International conference.

Fees & Scholarships : National Institute of Science and Technology, [NIST] Odisha Fee Structure. The fee for my course is Rs 1,20,000 per year. For the student who gets a scholarship, the fee is INR 40000 per year. Loan options are also provided by the college through HDFC and Indian Overseas Bank.
Academics & Faculty : Overall good class routines are designed as per the convenience of the students. Each year students get counsellors, mentor, and coordinator.

Academics & Faculty : Our classes starts from 7 A.M to 3:20 P.M,We have 8 quizzes,4 Internals,2 Externals and many assignments and projects. Method of teaching is excellent,teachers are very cooperative and friendly. Overall experience is very good, we genuinely learn many new things here.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are total 4 hostels including girls hostel, Hostels are very good and well maintained and hostel fees is Rs. 31000 per year. Food are not like home but good.mainy items are available here to eat. Quality of everything is very good.Wi-Fi are also working fast,Libraries are well maintained.
Clubs & Associations : In Nist there are approximately 32 clubs and all are very good. Many festivals are celebrated here, Many Tech Fest and Cultural Programmes are celebrated here.

Compare to other colleges it is the best college of bput,. College food is not good, and it's per month fee is 3200. Good, lab is also good quality, library facility is so much very good, the dining hall is very good quality, wifi speed is very good and its service is 24 hours, and it's campus is green campus,.
Clubs & Associations : Students societies is very good, different clubs are there, national service scheme (NSS), society of automotive engineering (SAE india), eureka, etc. Per year two tech fest is there. 1) sankalp. 2wavevery good.
