Welfare Department Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria

• The student must be a resident of the state of Jharkhand.
• The student must be a member of one of the following groups: Schedule Tribe (ST), Schedule Cast (SC), or Other Backward Class (OBC) (OBC).
• The total income of a student's family from all sources should not exceed the amounts shown below:

Foundation for Academic Excellence and Access

• FAEA awards scholarships to students to help them pursue undergraduate courses in the arts, business, science, medicine, engineering, and other technical and professional subjects at any Indian university, institution, or college. The number of National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur scholarships available is 50.

Eligibility Criteria 

• NIT Jamshedpur students in the BPL category who are socially and economically disadvantaged.
• Students who have completed Class XII in India from a recognised board.
• Students in their first year at college.
• The financial aid is given in tuition, maintenance allowance, hostel and mess charges.

Special Scholarship Scheme for Jammu & Kashmir

• Students from Jammu and Kashmir pursuing general degree courses, medical courses, engineering courses, and other courses outside of the state may apply for a scholarship.

National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation

• 500 National Scholarships will be offered to qualifying students with disabilities who wish to pursue higher academic, professional, or technical qualifications through this programme.
• Scholarships of Rs 1000 per month for hostellers and Rs 700 per month for day scholars pursuing professional courses at the graduate and postgraduate levels, Rs 700 per month for hostellers and Rs 400 per month for day scholars pursuing diploma/certificate level professional courses. The course fee is refunded up to Rs 10,000 each year.

NTPC scholarship

Eligibility Criteria

• Students who are SC/ST/Physically Challenged (Visually Handicapped/ Hearing Handicapped/ Orthopaedically Handicapped) and are pursuing a four-year full-time degree in Engineering in the disciplines of Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Computer Science, Electronics / Telecommunication from a college/ university/ institute are eligible for NIT Jamshedpur scholarship. 
• They should not be receiving any financial aid or assistance.

Indian Oil Educational Scholarship Scheme

• On a merit-based basis, IndianOil offers 2600 scholarships to students pursuing full-time/regular courses (not correspondence/distance/online mode) in these streams at schools, colleges, institutions, and universities recognised by MCI / AICTE / State Education Boards / State Governments / ICSE / ISC / CBSE / Central Govt. / Association of Indian Universities.

CDIF Scholarship Program TATA CUMMINS

• The scholarship is given to students from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds. Students studying a Diploma/Degree in Engineering/other professional degree programmes from various locations where Cummins Group Company has a presence are eligible for the scholarship program.

Merit Cum Means Scholarship

• The goal is to provide financial help to underprivileged and deserving students from minority populations to pursue professional and technical education. These NIT Jamshedpur scholarships are exclusively accessible for study in India, and they are offered by a State Government/UT Administration-designated agency.

OPJEMS Scholarship

• The top three students from civil, electrical, mechanical, and metallurgical engineering in the second, third, and fourth years, based on their academic performance in the preceding year, are eligible for the scholarship.

Post-Matric Scholarship

• The objective is to give scholarships to deserving students from economically disadvantaged minority communities to improve their access to higher education, boost their attainment in higher education, and improve their employability.
