NIA Pune placements cell is part of the National Insurance Academy which is a premier institution devoted to equip the insurance industry with the best of talents. Its close association with the Insurance industry provides the 'real life' reference to its training, education, research and consultancy activities. NIA was established in 1980 jointly by the Ministry of Finance - Government of India, Life Insurance Corporation of India, General Insurance Corporation of India, The New India Assurance Company, National Insurance Company, United India Insurance Company and The Oriental Insurance Company.

The highlights of the placement cell is given in the table below where the Maximum salary package offered is 10. 5 lacs, Minimum 4.00 lacs, and Average 6.5 lacs.

NIA Pune Placement Cell

The placement office at National Insurance Academy is managed by the placement committee which consists of student representatives. A placement chairperson is selected from the faculty. The activities of the placement committee include coordinating for the summer internship program and the campus recruitment program. It corresponds with the prospective employers, arranges pre placement talks and personal interviews on campus and facilitates the placement process.

• Conducts mock GD/interviews, debates on insurance issues, white paper reviews, case studies, mock press/ parliament, situational puzzles and negotiation skills training

• Day Zero of 2014-2016 placement witnessed placement of 79 students with offers ranging from 6-9.44 LPA.
