LABS

The computer center at NIST is equipped with two Windows NT servers and one LINUX Server, 300 nodeswith Windows 98/XP interconnected through Ethernet based LAN. Steps are being taken to fully automate the various activities of the institute like Academic Administration, Library, Administration, Finance, Placement and Management Development Programme.

The existing IT infrastructure at NIST Computer Center includes :

The interconnectivity of Computer System with Heterogeneous OS Platform through Ethernet based LAN and software resident on any server can be accessed from any terminal/client.

WiFi CAMPUS:

NIST campus is WiFi enabled with 24X7 Broadband Internet facility.

LIBRARY

The Library is housed in the academic block with a spacious reading room. The library is well stocked with more than 14000 text books apart from references of National and International Journals.

NIST has a specialized library which is continuously updated to expose the students to modern trends and concepts of technology and management . Besides the books , the library also subscribe to many professional journals and business magazines.IT and management related audio and video cassettes are available for both in-house and in-home use.

The library has been computerized to facilitate the users to retrieve information online. The library services are managed and maintained by a team of qualified and experienced professional staff, who give full assistance to all the library users . Specialized information services are also provided on demand

HOSTEL

The institute has fully furnished separate modern hostel facility for both men and women students within the campus with 24X7 security arrangements.

CANTEEN

The campus canteen furnished to cater the students taste, besides breverages and snacks and provision to serve the meals to day and residential scholars with south and north dishes.
