Karunya University was set up  in the year 1986 by Late Dr. D. G. S. Dhinakaran. The college was granted its autonomous status in the year 2000. The University provides quality education in the field of engineering, management, commerce, science, and research programs. The University aims at producing more and more quality engineers for the corporate world. In recent times, the University has marked its presence in the field of higher education.

During placements 2022, 873 students were placed in reputed companies. Additionally, 363 companies participated and offered 1,185 job offers to the students. Some of the top recruiters included Amazon, Accenture, Deloitte, Infosys, IBM, Wipro, etc. Registrations for KEE 2023 (for BTech and BSc(Hons) Agriculture programs) and KMAT 2023 (for MBA) are ongoing and the slot 1 exam is to be conducted on April 12 and April 13, 2023.

Karunya University Coimbatore admission process 2022 is currently in process. Candidates, fulfilling the eligibility criteria, can apply online through the institute's official website via its admission portal. The college conducts KEE for UG Courses which is over now and results can be seen on the official website. The university also conducts KMAT for PG programs which are in process. Karunya University Eligibility Criteria 

Karunya University has set up different criteria for admission in different courses. The candidate must fulfil all the requirements for getting admission. Institute has very strict criteria for admission, the basic criteria for some courses are as follows

B.Tech Eligibility Criteria 

• The candidates must have passed 12th with PCM and scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognised board.
• The candidates must appear and qualify Karunya Entrance Exam (KEE) with basic cut-off marks.

M.B.A Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any specialization with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognised university. 
• Candidates must have a valid score card in CAT, MAT or KMAT.  

PhD Eligibility Criteria 

• Candidates must possess a recognized regular Post Graduate degree with a minimum of 55% of marks.
• Candidates also have to appear and qualify in a written test and interview conducted by the university.
