PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, [PSGRKCW] Coimbatore was established in the year 1963. It is a centre of excellence for higher learning for women at graduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. The college is an autonomous institution that is affiliated to Bharathiar University with ISO 9001:2008 certification and is re-accredited by the National Accreditation and Assessment Council [NAAC] with an 'A' Grade. The college has been awarded the status of College of Excellence by the University Grants Commission [UGC]. The PSGR Krishnammal College admission is offered in 29 UG, 12 PG, three PG Diploma, and Ph.D. courses. The mission of the college is to inculcate values of discipline, dignity, dedication, and devotion to higher causes along with sportsmanship to make them better citizens. The entrepreneurship cell is also formed by the college which encourages, educates, and facilitates students who became members to turn out to be entrepreneurs through its entrepreneurial activities and programs.

Various clubs are formed for co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. There is a quiz club that provides a platform for students to develop and demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and creativity. Moreover, the college encourages the students to take part in sports and Games from the District to International Level. Various facilities are provided within the premises of the college such as hostel facility, canteen, departmental store, internet facility, sports facility, etc.

Dining Hall

• A large dining hall with a capacity of 500 students to dine at a time is provided at the college campus.
• Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is provided to all the inmates of the hostel.
