P.K.R. Arts College for Women, affiliated to Bharathiar University is an unaided Autonomous Arts & Science college. It was started with a vision to empower rural women and has been managed by Dhandapani Rural Charitable Trust since 1994. The college is located in a beautiful locale, surrounded by hillocks and green fields providing a serene and pleasant atmosphere for learning. The college has well equipped four laboratories including two computer laboratories with 526 terminals and an internet facility. The college also has a homely atmosphere hostel that accommodates 700 students.

Management is getting affiliation for more number of new courses every year. P.K.R. Arts College for Women admission is now offering 12 Under Graduate, 8 Post-Graduate, 7 M.Phil., 6 Research programmes. As on date, there are 106 teaching staff members and 2,227 students in the roll. There are 7 departments and 59 classrooms in the college. Every department has an adequate number of computers with internet facilities. The class-rooms are quite spacious, ventilated, and well furnished. The college has been accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ Grade in 2013. Further, an autonomous status has been granted by the UGC in 2017.

These courses have a duration of 3 years. It is a full-time course. The minimum eligibility for the candidate is to have passed 10+2 from a recognized board.

PKRACW PG and M.Phil Admission 2024

The college offers various PG courses. The courses are M.A (Tamil Literature) M.A, M.Sc, MCA, M.Com, MBA. There are various streams in these courses. The college also offers an advanced PG course M.Phil with 7 streams in it. The college has various facilities like a lab, library for research purposes.

The PG courses have a duration of 2 years. MCA lateral entry is available in this college. For PG courses, candidates must have passed graduation with 50% marks from the recognized university and the candidates must qualify one of the following entrance tests - TANCET. The M.Phil is a 1-year full-time course. Candidates should have passed Post Graduation in the relevant stream from the recognized university. Admission will be made on the basis of the PG marks, marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test (CET July 2015 only), and interview. The qualifying examinations marks converted to 50 Marks (Common Entrance Test 35 Marks, Interview 15 Marks)

The college offers Ph.D. courses in various streams. The streams are Tamil, Commerce, Computer Science, Physics, Management. The college has an internet facility to undertake practical works and research studies in various disciplines like Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science. The Digital Language Lab enables the students to improve their English communication skills. The entire college campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled.
