 Founded in the year 1985 in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, Ponnaiyah Ramajayam Institute of Science and Technology University is a university that extends undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses in various sectors and disciplines like medicine, engineering, arts, science, management, technology, and pharmacy in five campuses in Tamil Nadu. PRIST University is accredited A-grade through NAAC. The Government of Tamil Nadu recognizes it, and UGC, AICTE, CoA, PCI, BCI, and NCTE approve it.

Admissions for 2024 at Ponnaiyah Ramajayam Institute of Science and Technology (PRIST) are open for UG, PG, doctorate, and diploma courses in fields like engineering, science, and management. The university offers more than 20 programs, including BTech, MBA, and MTech, with entrance or merit-based selection. Applicants must meet eligibility criteria, such as 10+2 with a 45% aggregate, and can apply online or offline. Accepted exams include CBSE 12th and TNEA.

Prist University: Placement for 2023-24

According to the NIRF 2024 report on Ponnaiyah Ramajayam Institute of Science and Technology (PRIST), the median package during 2023 placements for B.Tech graduates was INR 4.34 LPA, and that for MBA graduates was INR 4 LPA. In the case of placements for the MBA, 48 out of 59 students were placed, while 4 opted for higher studies. Similarly, in B.Tech placements, 159 out of 198 students were placed, while 21 opted for higher studies.

Earlier, the NIRF 2020 report had reflected that in the 2019 placements, 81 students for B.Tech and 24 postgraduate (2-year) students got placed. Median packages for these programs were INR 4.10 LPA and INR 4.15 LPA, respectively.
