Academics & Faculty : Classes usually start at 8:00 am in the morning (very few) and lasts till 3:00 pm. Each period is of 45 minutes. The faculty is awesome. Our college is only known for education. No extracurricular activities are there in our college. You can only study here. Only studies are there in college, so sometimes it is really boring. For getting honours in 2nd year, you really have to perform very well. It is a very tough competition only 30 students can be selected in honours program in each subject. French subject is also available in my college.

Placements & Internships : If a student apply at the placement fair he/she can get a fair starting salary of around 19-20k they could either teach in various institutions or can work as a biotechnological researcher (in my course). Around 80% of the students usually get the jobs soon after the completion of their course.
Academics & Faculty : The classes usually start at 8:40am in summers Nd the last class can end till 4:00pm Max. Interesting projects are given to the students. Teachers putt in a lot of effort in teaching, they use different methods and are always open to suggestions. My overall experience has been a good one till now.
Clubs & Associations : Life in college is fun in general. There are a lot of societies (for fun activities, hobbies and even related to social awareness as well, you name it and it's there) are also there. Sports, dance and many awareness camps Nd fairs are also held at the college.

For category wise and merit wise, there are 3 scholarships schemes. The number of students getting scholarships depends upon the applications and merits. Well, loans are easily available from any of the government as well as the private bank, but most often loans are not really needed.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : At government college for girls sector 11, Chandigarh admissions are based on merit. One should have scored at least 50% marks in the last course done. There are no entrance exams for under graduation courses but there is the entrance test for PG courses where their seats are limited. Usually, the cutoff is 80-90% in recent years
Placements & Internships : No internship is done. Tata, buyxmart Infosys and club Mahindra are the main companies which are there for hiring. Average salary goes nearby 5lacs per annum to 13 lacs per annum. Last year 45% students got selected in this criteria. Alumni network is a little week. Cant say that they don't come. I personally think that college should keep some track.
Academics & Faculty : Class timings vary from department to department. Opening time and closing times are same throughout the year. Collage's first lectures start at 9 am and last ends at 4:40 p.m. Teaching methods are old but satisfactory. Teachers and professors are very intelligent and experienced. Overall, its a very unique and knowledgeable experience studying in GCG -11, Chandigarh
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are 3 hostels in the college and 3 outside the college. Each hostel has 120 rooms. Hostels are clean and infrastructure is good. Fees are paid quarterly, approximately INR.2500 for three months. PG and rooms are available but they are a bit costly than the hostel. In college hostel and canteens, meals are very reasonable rated. Quality of classrooms is satisfactory but the library is very up to date. Labs and dining halls are good. Wifi is not available in the college.
Clubs & Associations : College light is very good here. Main festivals of the campus in carnival and Youth festival. There are student elections and student unions are there. Eco club is there and youth club is there. One can learn so much in this college.
