Eligibility Criteria for Doctoral Programme

Ph.D

• Candidates should have completed Master’s Degree or its equivalent degree by the corresponding statutory, regulatory body, with a good academic record and a minimum of 55% of marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7 – point scale.

• Or, M.Phil Degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7 – point scale in the M.Phil Program coursework.

Candidates who are interested in B.Tech, M.Tech and Ph.D programmes at Presidency University - School Of Engineering admissions 2024 can apply for the course by following the below mentioned procedure:

Online Application Form Submission:

• Register: Register as a new user

• Verify Email ID: Verify the Email ID. Change in Email ID will not be permitted under any circumstances after submission.

• Fill the Application Form: Fill the application form online with the relevant information.

• Upload Documents: Upload required documents.

• Pay the Fees: Pay the application fee of INR 1000/-. Application Form Fee is Non-Refundable.

Offline Application Form Submission:

• The candidates can download the application form, fill & submit in person or through post.

• Otherwise, the application form can be obtained from the Admission Office on payment of INR 1000/- (One Thousand Rupees only) in cash or through Demand Draft drawn in favour of "Presidency University" payable at Bengaluru.

• Applicants need to submit the filled Application Form along with attested copies of the below mentioned documents:

  • Standard X Mark Sheet

  • Standard XII Mark Sheet

  • Transfer Certificate

  • Migration Certificate (For Non-Karnataka students)

  • Entrance Exam Score Card

  • Passport Size Photographs (5 in Nos.)

General Requirements for Undergraduate, Postgraduate & Doctoral Admissions 2024

As mentioned on the official website admissions at Presidency University, Bangalore will be as follows:

• Candidates are required to appear for the Presidency University, Bengaluru evaluation test in addition to standard eligibility criteria.

• Applicants also need to appear for the Personal Interview process.

• Admissions team also considers scholastic and extra-curricular records to give admissions at Presidency University, Bangalore - School of Engineering.

Ph.D

• Step 1:
  Entrance Test: The University shall conduct a Ph.D Entrance Test on all-India basis. The candidates must obtain a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or the minimum equivalent grade as decided by the University in the Entrance Test, to qualify for the Interview/Viva-Voce.

• Step 2:
  Interview/Viva-Voce: The candidates who have qualified in the Entrance Test will be required to appear before an Interview Panel of the concerned Department (appointed by the Chairman, R&IC).

• Applicants should have completed Pre-University / Higher Secondary / 10 +2 examination with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with either Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject.

• Candidates must have obtained at least 45% marks and 40% in case of candidates belonging to Reserved Category.

• Students should have a valid score in JEE (Main), JEE (Advanced), Karnataka CET, COMED-K or any other State-level Engineering Entrance Examination.

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Engineering [BE/B.Tech] in the relevant field from any Indian or Foreign University, recognised by UGC, having obtained at least 50% of marks in the aggregate is the eligibility requirement for candidates to get admissions into M.Tech course at Presidency University - School Of Engineering, Bangalore.

• Candidates belonging to Reserved Category should have a minimum of 45% marks in the aggregate.
