Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University was established on 03-09-2014 by an act of the legislature. Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) named in honor and memory of Professor Jayashankar, an eminent educationist and an ardent Telangana ideologue is the only Farm University of Telangana State. It was established as per the Telangana Govt’s G.O. Ms. No. 7, Agricultural and Cooperation (Agril III) Department, Govt. of Telangana dated 31-07-2014 adapting the ANGRAU act 1993 as “The ANGRAU Act of 1963 (Telangana Adaptation) order, 2014”. PJTSAU has nine constituent colleges with six of those devoted to faculty of Agriculture, two to faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, and one to faculty of Home Science.

Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) offers UG, PG & Ph.D. degree programs under various faculties such as Agriculture, Seed Technology, Agricultural Engineering and Home Science at its main campus (Rajendranagar) & constituent colleges located in Telangana.

B.Tech and B.Sc are the UG courses offered by the college under various different specializations. For UG courses, the candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the TS EAMCET, conducted annually by the Department of Higher Education of the Government of Telangana. Selection to PG & Ph.D.programs will be done on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test conducted by ICAR on an all India basis.

The candidates must clear the entrance exams conducted by the college and must also complete their 10+2 qualifications from a recognized board to become eligible.

The college offers  M.Tech, MBA, and M.Sc on a PG level under various different specializations. Selection of candidates for M.Sc/ M.Tech shall be done on the basis of their previous academic record at the Under Graduate level (30% weightage) and performance in the entrance test (70% weightage) conducted by ICAR through AIEEA PG.

The college offers a Ph.D. course under various different specializations. Selection of candidates for Ph.D. is done on the basis of score obtained by a candidate in the entrance test conducted by ICAR.

These are the steps and procedures to be followed to apply for any of the courses

• The college accepts the online method of admission
• Visit the official website of the college
• Fill up the onetime registration form with all the relevant details
• The applicant should furnish all the details while filling the Online Application Form. While filling the online application form, the applicant is advised to save the application in draft form until the final submission
• On successful submission, an application number will be generated which can also be used for future correspondence.
• The scanned passport size (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) photograph of the applicant should be in JPEG format of and not exceed 1 MB file size.
• The applicant’s signature should be scanned in JPEG format of [3.5 cm x1.5 cm] and not exceed 1 MB file size
• Pay the application fee via the online method (Debit Card /Credit Card (Visa / Master Card)/NET Banking/ Wallet)
• Upon successful submission and payment, the applicant will be able to print the application form. The applicant should enable “background graphics” in the print option before taking a print of the uploaded application form
• Send the filled application form to the college address
