Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering is one of the hallmark institutes of Pune, established in 2001 with the aim of providing quality technical education. The institute is an icon in the field of engineering education in the state of Maharashtra. It is nurtured and managed by Jayawant Shikshan Prasarak Mandal Trust. The Institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and Govt. of Maharashtra affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. At present, there are six Campuses namely Tathawade, Hadapsar, Wagholi, Bavdhan, Narhe, Barshi. Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering provides various courses in the Engineering field ranging from diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

All undergraduate programs have been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation New Delhi, three times. RSCE is also accredited by NAAC with “A” grade (CGPA 3.26). Recently UGC has accorded Autonomy to RSCE which empowers RSCE to design a contemporary curriculum, which is relevant to industry so as to maximize the employability of graduates. The institute has received the “Best Professional College Award (Urban Category)” by SPPU, Pune. RSCE is the winner of the AICTE-CII award in Platinum Category for consecutive two years 2017-18, 2018-19. Govt of India, MHRD–NIRF has ranked RSCE in the band of top 201 to 250 colleges of India, in the year 2020. The infrastructure at RSCE is conducive for research and has Lush Green Campus with State of Art Infrastructure Separate Hostels, Gym, and a fleet of buses.

Library

• The college has a well-established computerized Library (Jayawant Library) with a large collection of textbooks, reference books, technical journals, educational DVDs, and CDs for all courses offered through RSCE.
• In addition to print copies of relevant journals, the library has also subscribed to international online journals like IEEE, ASME, ASCE, ACM, EBSCO, Science Direct, ASTM, J-Gate(JET and (JSMS), which can be accessed and downloaded through the internet facility provided in the digital library.
• NPTEL video Lectures delivered by India’s best teachers are also available in the library.
• The library has taken renowned outside Library membership like the British Council Library, Pune, Automotive Research Association of India, Pune, and ITT Mumbai Central Library for providing resources that are not available in Jayawant Library.

Gymkhana

• Gymkhana is well equipped with good indoor and outdoor sports facilities such as kabaddi, Volley Ball, Table Tennis, Carom boards, Basketball, Cricket, Badminton Football, etc.
• The Institute organizes college-level and intercollege-level games to exhibit students' sports activities such as Gandharv (annual sports Gathering), HEAT2K (Inter-college Football, Basketball, and Table Tennis Matches).
• RSCE has a good sports ground but also college hires various stadiums and sports grounds as and when required to conduct these events.

Computer Centre

• The Institute has a modern Computer Center, presently running on 23 Mbps internet bandwidth.

Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering adheres to the rules and regulations laid down by the DTE, Government of Maharashtra regarding admission of students in the reservation criteria. Scholarships provided by the Government of India are given below.

Special Quota

• As per DTE norms, there is a special quota for the candidates belonging to J&K and Northeast states.

SC/ST/ OBC Students

• Scholarships to Reserved Category students are available as per government norms.
• Admission cell organizes special seminars for these students to tell them about schemes and scholarships if they take engineering admissions.  

Differently-abled

• About 3% of seats of total sanctioned intake capacity of all the institutions coming under CAP, are reserved for candidates with a disability, as per the provisions in Clause 39 of equal opportunities, protection of rights, and Full Participation Act 1995.

For Women

• About 30% of seats available for Maharashtra State CAP are reserved for female candidates, as per the provisions in GR No. GEC-1000/ (123/2000)/ Tech. Edu.-1, dated 17th April 2000.
