Application Process
The application form and prospectus are available for Rs. 750 (non-refundable) at the college or Administrative Office (75/8, 1st Floor, Y Block, Anna Nagar, Chennai). Forms can also be obtained via Demand Draft payable to “Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering” at Chennai, with the applicant’s name and date of birth written on the back. Completed forms, along with the DD and necessary documents, should be submitted to the college or office.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates (except SC/ST) must complete the qualifying examination in no more than two attempts.

Community Certificate
BC/MBC/DNT/SC/ST candidates must submit a Community Certificate from the relevant authorities; otherwise, they will be considered General candidates.

Recognition of Qualification
Out-of-state candidates must apply to Anna University for the recognition of their qualifications.

Joint Declaration
A declaration by the applicant and parent/guardian, confirming compliance with college rules, is required.

Responsibility
Applicants are responsible for submitting all necessary documents to establish eligibility; no claims will be accepted later.

Selection Process
Eligibility for management seats is decided by the College Selection Committee, based on government, AICTE, and Anna University policies. The list of selected candidates will be posted on the notice board and website. Admission is provisional until officially confirmed.

Medical Certificate
Selected candidates must undergo a medical examination arranged by the college.

Identity Card
Admission is finalized only after receiving the ID card, which must be collected within 15 days. Students must carry their ID at all times on campus.

Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering scholarships

RGCE assists students in obtaining scholarships from the Government and other agencies. Recently, Rs 1 Crore was distributed among 600 students. Available scholarships include:

• BC/MBC Welfare: For BC/MBC students with a parent income under Rs 2,00,000.
• SC/ST Welfare: For SC/ST students with a parent income under Rs 2,50,000.
• SC/ST Fee Waiver: Full fee waiver for SC/ST students with a parent income under Rs 2,50,000.
• Central Sector Scheme: For students scoring 80% or higher in HSC exams.
• Chief Minister Farmers Security: For the children of farmers.
• Minority Scholarship: For Christians, Muslims, Sikhs, and Buddhists with 50% marks.
• Physically Challenged: For students with disabilities, managed by NHFDC.

• Sports: Indoor and outdoor sports facilities, including volleyball and basketball courts. 25 seats are offered under the sports quota for students excelling in national and international sports.
