Placements & Internships : Compulsory Internship period for U.G. students as per VCI 2009 is 6 months with a stipend of Rs. 6000/month. A lot of job opportunities for veterinarians are available in the areas of treatment, research, industrial, public health etc., Since dairy products are given much importance now-a-days, alot of job opportunities are available for the vetereninans. Our college has a good alumni network who can guide us regarding placements etc.,

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The total number of seats available for U.G. is 60 and among that 30 seats are allotted for students who attend Pondicherry state councilling (CENTAC), 9 seats for NRI & NRI sponsored candidates (by means of entrance examination), 6 seats for VCI (i.e., through AIPVT exam), 5 for Nagaland students etc.,

Fees & Scholarships : The annual tuition fee for CENTAC is around Rs. 25,000 and for NRI & NRI Sponsored candidates it's around Rs. 4.5 lakhs. No scholarships are available.

Academics & Faculty : The daily routine depends upon the orders of VCI. The method of teaching is of good quality. The methods employed in teaching varies according to the subjects.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Separate hostels are available for boys & girls on the same campus. The hostel fee per year is around Rs. 5000. Mess fee per month will vary from Rs. 2500 to Rs. 3500.

Clubs & Associations : Different clubs like students council, Rotary Club are established in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of veterinary Education And Research. Culturals, Collage day, Sports day, Hostel day are celebrated here. The schedule is hectic but the life is enjoyable here.
