Rani Parvati Devi College of Arts and Commerce Infrastructure: Library, Labs, Gym, Auditorium, Cafeteria & Other Facilities

Infrastructure :-

The campus is spread over an area of 28 acres of land. The campus comprises of buildings for administration and teaching-learning (class rooms) for Arts, Commerce, Science, BBA, BCA, PG English and M.Sc. The college houses Computer Labs, Audio Visual Room, Library, Common Staff Rooms, Separate Departmental Rooms, Boys' Hostel, and Girls' Hostel. The campus houses rooms for NCC, NSS, Nirbhaya Cell, SC/ST Cell, Counseling Centre, Equal Opportunity Centre, Competitive Exam Cell, Hobby Centre, Guest House, Staff quarters, Ladies Common room, Boys common room, IGNOU Study Centre, Security Point, Separate Parking facility for the staff and the students, Canteen and Mess for hostel students. Infrastructure for sports consists of Gymnasium, Sports Hall, Indoor Stadium, and Sports Ground and Basket Ball court. The college also has support services like Union Bank Branch with ATM provision, Xerox Centre which caters to the services sought by both staff and students. The college has an Open-air theater, where the cultural activities and other events are conducted. Record Room which provides space for the storage of all records.

South Konkan Education Society’s R.P.D. College of Arts & Commerce is situated in the calm and peaceful area of Tilakwadi, Belgaum, making it ideal for higher studies. 

Library 

R.P.D. College Library is one of the oldest libraries with rich collection of books capable of meeting the changing needs & demands of present and future. It was established along with the inception of the collage in 1945. The College libraries are heart of college educational system and foundation of the higher educational system. College libraries it play a very vital role in making young students library minded & torch bearers of the society. Regular college library users become good researchers, intellectuals & cream of the society. A well housed and well managed library is the foundation modern of educational structure. To keep pace with the ever expanding field of knowledge the library is being updated from time to time. We are sure to keep ourselves in the mainstream by sensitizing library to the ever changing needs of the stakeholders. 

Hostel facility 

The campus houses hostel for boys and girls separately which caters to accommodate needs of the students seeking admission from outside the city. There is also provision for rest rooms and reading room made in hostel. The hostel warden, who is the resident in the campus, supervises the hostel. Hostel fees towards maintenance and sanitation have to be paid when admission to hostels is granted. Hostel fees are not refundable. Hostel rules have to be followed by all hostel residents. Breach of hostel rules can lead to penal action/expulsion from the hostel. 

Computer Labs and Internet Facility 

The college has two computer labs with latest configuration systems to cater to the IT needs of the students. The students are provided with the internet facility in the labs as well as in the library where a separate cabin and space is provided for internet browsing. 

Sports and Physical Education 

Physical Education and Sports are a means of developing an all round personality of an individual and our department tries to do it the fullest. We see that most of our students in our college take part in the sports and fitness activities to the maximum extent. Our college provides enough facilities and opportunities for the students to exhibit their talent and expertise in the field of sports. The students too are reciprocating back in a very good way by participating and in many state, national and international competitions and tournaments and also winning most of the Competition and tournaments we participate at the Karnatak University and Rani Channamma University Inter-Collegiate level and getting selected for the Karnataka University teams and Rani Channamma University in various games and sports in a large number.

 Dining Hall 

Dining hall facility along with mess provided for the residents of the boys and girls hostel. 

Yoga and Meditation Centre 

A large space has been provided for the the Yoga activities and meditation for both students and staff and also the students of the Certificate course in Yoga.

Open Air Theatre 

A large open air theatre for the conduct of cultural and social functions is provided in centre of the campus. Annual gathering, dramas , skits, and national festivals are celebrated at this venue.

Drinking water facility 

Safe and clean drinking water facility is provided in each building housing the classrooms. Water purifier and cooler facility is built in the water dispensers to provide cool water during summer season. 

Computerised office facility 

The college office provides all assistance to the students in academic and official matters with great care. The staff members are student friendly. 

Ladies room 

Ladies room facility is provided in the campus for the convenience of the girl students.

Health care 

A health care centre functions in the campus (opposite ladies hostel) basic medicines are provided to the students free of cost.

Canteen 

A canteen facility is provided in the campus for the convenience of students and staff. The canteen serves hygienically prepared eatables and refreshments. Beverages like tea, coffee and cold drinks are available. The canteen is open between 7-30 a.m. to 5-30 p.m. on all working days.
