Career Counselling Cell :-
Since the inception on 6th March, 2003, the cell actively provides information, assistance, guidance, instruction and counseling to regular students and graduates of the college, for job-placement and admission to higher degree/diploma or other academic courses and maintains regular correspondence with different organizations, industry and institutions. The notable activities of the cell are
(i) organization of three Free Academic Counseling and Coaching sessions for West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBCSSC), RLS Test, in which 620 ex-students of the college attended more than 800 classes offered by 70 faculty members. In 2010-2011, 12 students who attended the course and mock-interview have been empanelled for appointment as Assistant Teacher by WBCSSC.
(ii) organization of mock-interview sessions, training in soft-skill and communicative English. Some of our trainee students have been recruited by well-known companies like CIPLA, Procter & Gamble, HDFC Life, Tata Johnson Controls Automotive Ltd., and others. On the basis of the exemplary achievement of the Career and Counseling Cell, the college has received UGC grant under 11th Plan to introduce new courses for Entry-in-Services and Job Placement.
